New psp model called PSi.....fake?

I saw a commercial for the PSP the other night that said itwas now down to $169. It was the one with the D pad instead of that crappy analog stick. I told my wife that I wanted one.

Hey, a touch screen PSP would be cool. They could call it the PSP® Suckless™. :lol

The different directional buttons don't look consistent with Sony's styling...

Interesting idea.. I don't know that it's the real deal though.

The PSP has been redesigned, and the analog stick has been done away with.

What analog stick? I'm not sure how you could call that thing a stick. I always thought of it as a clunky, impossible to control nub.

Oh. What I mean is the clunky, impossible to control nub is gone in favor of a D pad.

Sorry for the confusion. :D

There are so many rumors flying around about the "Cobalt", size, specs, images, etc., it's hard to say what's real, but with so many conflicting rumors you have to figure that most of them are fiction.

ya know i think they need to remake it and it wouldnt suprise me if at least one of the rumors is true, i mean from what ive heard tha psp sucks, but thats just what ive heard

If Sony would have just started pushing the mini DVD format (ya know how every CD or DVD tray has the inner ring for mini CD or DVD format?) instead of minidisk and UMD (which are just mini DVDs and mini CDs with a casing), the PSP could have been a great success. It could have potentially played mini DVD and CD formats along with potential for PSP games to run in the PS2 or PS3...

Ah Sony, why the obsession with new proprietary formats?

um.....no it hasnt buddy, its still the same old psp. ::) ::) ::)

Strange. Because I was watching TV the other night, and a Sony commercial came on that had a PSP with no analog stick thing, and had a D pad in it's place. Oh well...
