From what I've been hearing, this is about a 6 hour game at MAX.

it's 11 minutes for Super mario world 3 :lol and i still play the living crap out of that one.

if this is anything like the new super mario bros from DS then it will be fun enough to play a few times

Very true. Especially since I'll have a roommate with me, I can see playing through this several times. :)

No surprise and not a big deal {IMO}. All of the side scrolling Mario's are really short but they have such massive replay value and so many secrets it's a non issue.

Well should they charge less because you can beat it on the first play through in 6 hours or so? Sure, it maybe be 6 hours to beat one time, but if it's like the other Mario's you're gonna play it many many times and maybe rack up a couple hundred hours.

True, but I think I might wait for this to drop to $30 to $40 to feel like I'm getting my money's worth personally.

Yea definitely. I almost never pay initial release price for games. I always wait for a little drop or get it used.

sadly i won't be getting this game at launch either (maybe for Christmas) due to the fact that there's a game i already pre-ordered around that date so i won't have enough money for both then again i am getting Darkside chronicles and i don't know if that one has a longer storyline than umbrella chronicles (which i got 10 hours out of it and i still replay it) so really.... if it wasn't for the release date i would get this at launch

The reviews are in and the game received an A+ from 1up.com, the one thing I love is how he keeps comparing New Super Mario to Mario World and Mario 3 a lot.

I just picked up the game and I must say, it's just like the reviewer said. If Mario 3 and Mario World had a kid, add some new elements, power ups, and throw in everything you loved about Mario 3 and World...and then you shall have NEW Super Mario Bros. Wii.
 
It keeps getting better Zi, you know the item selection system from Mario 3? The Match game from Mario 3? It's back as well! I Just kicked Larry Koopa's butt and I'm going for another round :D Also, check out the sweet RED case!

Too bad they didn't put any games I would actually consider trading in that I owned on this list. Ah well I'll pick it up eventually most likely as SMW was my favorite Mario platformer.
