New UT2k7 screens!

This is one of the few upcoming games that I'm actually interested in (pretty much this and Elder Scrolls Oblivion). Can't wait for this to come out as I've been a huge fan of the series for a while now.

Malcolm looks realistically amazing. Definately can't wait for this one, though I hope my recently upgraded computer can handle all the graphical goodness.

Preliminary UT2007 System Requirements

Minimum Requirements
CPU: 2.8Ghz
RAM: 512MB
Graphics: Geforce 6 series

Recommended System
CPU: 3-4Ghz
RAM: 1024MB
Graphics: NVIDIA 6800GT/Ultra or 7800GT/GTX SLI

UT2007 Technical features and requirements
* Dual-core CPU: Multi-threading is supported and should provide much better performance
* 64-bit version to be available with better textures
* Renderers: SM3.0, 2.0, possible DX8 renderer
* HDR supported
* Physics: Novodex Physics Engine
* AGEIA PhysX PPU supported.

Keep in mind that these are not official requirements from Epic, nor final. What we know is that the game will take advantage of technologies such as dual core processors, AGEIA compatible Physics chips and Shader Model 3.0.

Thilo Bayer, Editor-in-Chief PCG Hardware, adds:
As I clarified in a seperate e-mail with Mark Rein, we have some misunderstanding in the term "minimum specs". We mean "minimum specs for high in game detail" which is not the same as bare "minimum specs" so that the game runs at all.

This game will be amazing Recky. I will definitely get it for the new pc when it comes out.

The cutscenes are rendered from actual gameplay as well, so it wouldn't matter either way.

Epic knows what they're doing, those are the actual graphics. I've seen gameplay videos, as well as numerous tech demos in multiple languages. Yes, that is actual gameplay. Just because it doesn't have a HUD, doesn't mean it's not from the game.

And, as the quote reinforces, Epic makes their cutscenes from actual gameplay. They just have the pawns move in the directions that they want. I've used the Unreal Editor many times, I know what I'm talking about.

haha yeah
go recky

...lag? That's what happens when your internet connection is slow, or you connect to a slow server.

Low framerate, hitches, and stuttering are what you intend to say. I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with this, as Unreal Engine 2 (UT2k3 and 2k4) was amazingly optimized and allowed seamless gameplay with severely lacking hardware.

They usually release demos as well, so you don't have to buy it to find out whether the game is right for you or not.

So far in GRAW it just slowed the game down, because the grpahics card had more things to render.

Christ, the minimum is a 6800 series? My card will scrape the minimums as well.

Guess I'm gonna need a new card soon.

hm... that is looking pretty nice!

So... which cards use the physx or are the card needed to use that?

Which games currently use it?
