Confirmed. Nov 9th for $65 (Comes with a Charge kit) and pictures showing you the BIG difference.

$65? Get real.

Most of the comments are realistic...showing how it might still pose problems when doing roll moves in fighting games. And it took that Major Nelson guy two hands just to pull out the D-Pad.

I wonder how reliable this is going to be?

Also, can we have it in ANOTHER color please? We need variety :P

It may have taken two hands, but in no way did it seem cumbersome to change the D-Pad.

Either way, unless you play a lot of fighters, I don't see it being a big seller anyways. Many games mostly use the D-Pad as secondary buttons.I rarely ever use it to control anything.

but if you play a lot of fighters you might already have a fighting stick...it is a possibility

That's true too. I forget about the sticks.

Cumbersome? No. Inconvenient? Yes. I don't know..that's just what it looks like to me.

That I can agree with. Unless just having it raised is better than not. So you would only have to switch it once. Either way, it doesn't impress me either.

See, another thing that bugs me is that it HAS to be in a bundle pack. Why can't they sell it alone as well at standard price? I think they'd see a lot more sales if they did that.

Yea, whats with controllers getting ridiculously expensive? The ps3 controllers are a bit on the expensive side as well

$65 is par for bundled Play and Charge Kits. All 360 controllers that come bundled are MSRP $64.99. Also, having wireless technology does up the price a bit.

I agree with this too. My only guess is that they're probably not expecting a lot of sales simply for an updated D-Pad. So they're bundling a matching Play and Charge Kit.
