NiGHTS to be here by Christmas...at least for American consumers

I only see new sites giving it bad reviews, since they won't understand it. NiGHTS is not a series that will be made off of hype. It's taken ten years, they're going to try. Hard.

And I'm betting you know this since you read them all the time. Really, can't criticize a magazine for 'losing their touch' if you don't read it.

yea especially since I can get the same information even more a month before the mag comes out. Unless they spend money like Wired did for Halo 3 where they paid for exclusive content for it. Remember way back when when you got you're magazine in the mail whether it be Nintendo Power, PSM, Game Informer, and the old classics that when you got it you felt like a kid in a candy shop. All Im saying is that the magazines arent what they used to be. And why pay when u can get the information for free on the internet.

Yeah but alot of game magizines are good because if they're the official company magazines then it's the ReAl info, not just a snowballed rumor.

PS: My grandfather died right when I was posting this...

That's...depressing. :/ Sorry.

Thats why you dig around to see the truth from the lies. And some magazines are very biased towards their/others games

And you can prove that...how? Because they like it more than you?

I really didnt mean the magazine. I meant that the staff of the magazine. For example: one reviewer refused to review a PS3 game because he didn't like the PS3. Another is when a journalist said that Warhawk was an abomination to gaming(Guess what magazine he worked for before then... OXM) hmmm i guess magazines never show any indication of how the writer is huh?

Actually I think NP is a lot less biased than other single platform magazines (OXM for example). NP rates their own games pretty hard. Even TP didn't get a 10 when lots of other magazines gave it 10/10.

OXM is a disgrace. It's too bad they don't make XBN anymore.

NP is DEFINITLY the most biased magazine i have ever read. they game splinter cell for ds a 7/10 when the average of every other magazine/show is about 1/10

they were paid to review it that high, no question

I'm gonna go ahead and point out a few things. One, if you don't like the PS3, you're going to be biased against the game. The guy was saying he'd give it a bad score just because of it's PS3ness. Hines, congratulations, you still have yet to learn that opinions can vary. A lot.

I was just stating those because they are the most recent. And ur just proving that some are biased fhq
Of course people are biased, so why let them review a game for a system they hate if it will lower the score? Not like there aren't some ten writers on staff. Do you really want the game to get a less than deserved score because of the system it's on?

Play does their reviews that way and people still complain, though. I mean in a way it makes sense (for example) to have people who like sports games review sports games, but at the same time, if a person who doesn't like a sports game actually likes one, wouldn't that actually mean it's better than if someone who already likes sports games likes it?

The review system is never going to be perfect. But at least there are sites like gamerankings and metacritic that will take all the scores and give you an overall look at all the reviews.

no what im saying is that maybe people should go into it with an open mind instead of just saying it sucks without picking it up. And mind you that the writer i mentioned worked for PSM a Playstation gaming mag.

From what you're saying, the guy said the PS3 sucked, not the game.

Oh, no, and there's no other Sony consoles! It's not a big deal that the guy doesn't love everything from the company his magazine does stuff for, isn't that the exact definition of unbiased?

That's actually a good point, too. He's not biased towards Sony and that is good. But he could be biased towards Xbox/360, which wouldn't be cool.

Nintendo Power isn't as biased as it was in the beginning, but yeah, it's still a propaganda machine. The only magazine I even get anymore is Game Informer because it comes free with the Gamestop membership, but I seldom look at it. Magazines in general can't really compete with the instant gratification of the Internet.

As for Nights, include dual control options please. Don't know why an analog stick would be a problem, as the software doesn't have to use incremental input readings. I use the 360 analog for Nights on SFF and it works fine.
