NiGHTS to be here by Christmas...at least for American consumers

...If they had wanted you to use an analog stick in NiGHTS, it would have been made eight years ago.

Nope, they just figured, "If someone does something new, let's take it, if not, oh well, we just can't."

You can't honestly believe that a sequel took so long to make because the Wiimote didn't exist yet. It's innovative, but far from a necessity.

When you get developers saying they made the game just because of the Wiimote, yeah, I do believe it.

Hrmmm they say that for exclusives... Let's see exclusive.... only for one system... therefore ment for one system... which means developed for that ONE controller....

hard concept I know huh?

...What are you even talking about? You just proved yourself wrong.

Have you seen a developer say that for a port... no. But, when the Wii gets an exclusive the developers say how the game was designed specifically for the wii. Umm Hello... its only for the Wii. meaning no other controller is able to see how it is stacked up against the Wii controls

One more time. They stated they made the game just for it BECAUSE of the Wiimote. Just because. They didn't have a control scheme for it, they saw it and wanted to use it. They saw it as something new and a great way to control NiGHTS. Besides them saying that, if they were fine with another control scheme, we would have seen a sequel by now. Stop trying.

As for Journey of Dreams, Iizuka stressed the fact that he wants to move away from using the analog stick controls of the original game to using the Wii Remote in conjunction with your arm, so that "both become one instrument to help NiGHTS fly through the game's worlds." But the game will still use the Nunchuk's analog stick to further assist in the flight-centric gameplay.
What else would you like? Some tea and biscuits, perhaps?

Ok.

But what I was getting at before is that so many other developers have said that it will be an extension of the body and so far that hasnt come to a reality. And what I was trying to say also is that wouldnt it be nice to have a comparison to see how a Wii game would do with another controller.

EDIT: I wasnt trying to discredit NIGHTS in any fashion I just wanted to see the OPTION of another controller

How is it not an extension? Moving your arm in real life doesn't extend to the game?

Fr0dus Maximus said:
no the wiimote doesnt feel like an extension. it feels awkward to me.
It's moving your arm. I don't see how that'd feel awkward.

@Frak, you know what he meant.

It isnt that responsive and the fact that i have to keep on doing the same motion over and over is awkward.
It's amazingly responsive. Nintendo doesn't invest in things until they can pull it off well and cheaply. Are you playing around other fluorescent lights? Don't have the Wiimote close enough? Not facing the right direction?

Actually, I just Googled and found out that there was an analog controller for the Saturn that was packaged with some copies of Nights. Never knew it existed and boy is my face red. :-[ Does explain why it works so well with the 360 controller, though.
