Nintendo DS vs PSP

Seems like Neph has made a friend. :lol

But seriously, price in a lot of cases is an issue. I'm not comfortable buying a $200+ system that requires $50+ games to operate when I can get more bang-for-the-buck enjoyment out of the DS.

The PSP does have an edge when it comes to graphics. But that's about it.

hey neph, welcome back, still defending the PlayStation products as passionately as ever I see

And I've already disproved your point - at least in Japan.

I can find a ton of PSP games either used or as "Best of Titles for 2000-2500" yen.

Standard price for DS games? 4400 yen

And yet I'll still be picking up a black DS tomorrow after I get paid. I now have both handheld systems. Do you?

You know what you can suck.

Yeah. These things called eyes work well for reading. I've already stated I own a PSP in this thread. It was about the biggest mistake I've made since X Box. Looks like I've beat you to the punch on owning both systems by a long margin. What's your point here? I'm failing to make a connection.

Aside from a few good titles here and there such as Exit, I'm really, really disappointed. Immense waste of 250 dollars. Whatever the price is now, it's not worth it either, I'm certain. I don't know about in Japan, but when I walk in to the game store in the United States and observe the "Greatest Hits" line of games for PSP, I see a bunch of shit I saw on Ps2 5 years ago. "ATV, SOCOM, etc" .. Games I never cared about to begin with. I hear Disgaea's coming to PSP. That's fruitful. Something good. Too bad it's just a port though. :-(

Yeah for SURE - I got a DS for xmas a while back when it was new, all i played was SM64 and i decided to trade it in and get a PSP, worst mistake of my life. MY LIFE! but someday i plan on getting reunited with my DS again...

@ Neph - just stop talking... you're only hurting yourself

sartori and neph you both need to calm down, you don't need to be at each other's throats because you have a disagreement in opinion

Sartori isn't doing anything wrong other than making minor jabs to get the point accross. So here's the problem as I see it.

Sartori likes Nintendo. Neph hates Nintendo. Actually no. He hates anyone who doesn't like Sony. And if you like Nintendo, then by default you hate Sony.

And this is as far as I will go on the subject because Neph likes to accuse me of baiting him. Oh well...

I love Nintendo for introducing me to games and I love Sony for fueling my gaming now... This isn't Red Sox and Yankees - one or the other, I got plenty of love for both, but that damn Microsoft lemme tell you... :lol

Some mild enjoyment comes from this.

Wise words, my friend. But sometimes you get the rabid few that try to ruin it for the rest of us.

I had a PSP and DS at the same time for awhile. I never really played a lot of the PSP (or the DS at that time). Most of what I played was Hot Shots golf and my wife played a lot of Lumines, I had a few other games too. After awhile I didn't play either very much...then I discovered AC:WW. Didn't touch the PSP at ALL after that...infact I traded it (and a bunch of other stuff) for a few DS and XBox games.

Anyhow...in my experiences I:

1. Didn't have many fun games...
2. Couldn't find games that interested me...
3. Didn't want to spend $50 on a portable version of a game.

The only reason I'd like to have one again is the ability to browse the internet and perhaps sports games (sometimes I just don't feel like sitting infront of the TV to play Madden).

*waits for neph to claim I'm a Sony hater and how I have fantasies about the Big N* ::)

Alright before this gets out of hand...

^^ No more comments like these please. This is clearly baiting and trolling which will cause nothing but trouble from either party. Let's not make this more personal than it already is.

@ Neph: I advise for you not to take the bait this time and just focus on the topic at hand. Actually that goes for everybody.

Let's all stop from the personal attacks.

This topic is now locked.

No more baiting and trolling from anyone. The next person who personally attacks another is temporarily banned.

EDIT by Bluevoodu: AND gets kicked in the Jimmy... :jimmy
