Or better yet why dont you?

I honestly dont see why all of this is needed

why would i want to prove wrong what i'm trying to prove right???? that is broken logic....

indeed i don't see why all of this is needed since you claim this is bogus without concrete proof.

Concrete proof? This entire thread is based on BOGUSity. What bogus benefit do you get from even connecting it.

you charge your psp with your wii......... did you even read the first post????

Thats pointless, I might as well just use the free charger that came with the PSP or even better, connect stuff in the two slots on the Wii. There is no gain from this bogusity

Alright guys, CUT IT OUT.

That's really cool Zi, I never thought of that. I prefer to just use my laptop though to charge my PSP.

USB ports carry a charge. My speakers for my computer lack a standard power cord because they rely on the USB port. My wife always charges the digital camera with the computer's USB ports.

All this is possible. Why? Because some electronic devices that attach to another via a USB port draw current off of the unit it's attatched to, especially if you have the remote start feature (like many computer printers). So it's not bogus for one eletconical device (PSP) to charge it's self off of another electrical device (Wii) via a USB port.

On a side note, if you all do not heed Alee's request and don't kill the bickering, this topic will be closed. Now play nice. :D

Apart from powering my USB mouse, Ive never envisualized a USB port carrying a charge, let alone a Wii one carrying a charge. Perhaps powering one of those is nice, but to use the port on the Wii is as pointless as me hooking my Mouse to my Wii to movie the on screen icon.

It should be noted that the 360 or the Wii has to be plugged in for a USB to work off of it to charge something. I mean that should be obvious, but if somehow your systems get turned off, you might not be charging anything.

I thought that it would work regardless if the Wii were on or not...Whether or not it is powered on not, shouldnt it still charge the PSP, if in fact this is not a bogus claim?

No, because the Wii doesn't deliver power to its USB ports while it's turned off. Same with the Playstation 3. The 360, however, does. It can be turned off and still charge things.

all will charge your stuff, but the wii needs to be on 24/7 mode (it's on but it doesn't consume much energy)

So my PS3 will charge my PSP but the other stuff wont?

Anything with a USB port can charge your PSP.  I don't even use the wall or my PS3, I usually use my computer.

I honestly dont understand why the mode would matter?

Because it's off, but in a sense it's still on.

Zidart and Starrynite, you're both wrong. The Wii's power must be on, meaning it's light is green, to be able to charge anything.

So the Wii has to be on? That is just a waste of power then! Why have the PSP charging and the WIi on sitting on IDLE mode. When one could easily just use the FREE CHARGER that came with the PSP. Even if this does work, which mines seems to not be, I find it uneconomical and too much of a hassle.

*sigh* It obviously isn't the most efficient way to charge a PSP. Zi was just saying it's funny that someone took a picture of a Nintendo product charging a Sony product.
