Here it is, one of the most controversial (sp?) issues:  Nvidia vs. ATI.  I had an Nvidia in this machine, then got an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (built by Sapphire). What do you all think?

Ati all the way, BUT I like my ATI's pure :lol

I have a All in Wonder pro 9700 (128meg) , and a FireGL2 in my laptop (128 meg).

I really don't care.. I've used ATI and Nvidia and they both seem good.. right now though I'm with an Nvidia

Mine's an NVidia GeForce 2. Ancient!!! If I ever decide to sink money into PC gaming (which isn't likely considering I already sink too much into console gaming) I'd probably get an ATI though. Everyone I talk to seems to like them better, and Nintendo and MS are both using ATI in their next consoles, so that's saying something.

I like ATI better because of more driver updates, and the picture quality is better (AA and AT)
the better picture....
that is why I bought ATI... I have bought ATI since my viper 2 card for gamers back in 1997-1998.

i have seen and tested the others, but I won't switch... ATI has me hooked :D

If you overclock EVERYTHING an NVIDIA seems to oc much better, at least the older ones, I've not had the sand to try and fry a new video card..... I've read now though the newer model ATIs o/c just as easily as the nvidias...

It's interesting the majority is saying ATI, I'm all the time seeing people selling their 9800 pros for the newest nvidia card.... hmm...

Me... I like ATI, i'm using the all in wonder 9700 pro as well..... it's served it's purpose nicely

I think people are only selling their 9800 Pros because TONS of people purchased them, and are now getting false info about the two best cards of each company. Everyone keeps forgetting about the highest ATI card, so they compare the highest Nvidia to one of the higher ATIs (or at least that's what I've seen a few times)
