So you have a PC that's better than a 360 and is cheaper? What planet do you live on so I can get one of those! :D
I meant the games are cheaper. $50 vs. $60.

Last I remember you only have to buy the 360 once while a PC has to be upgraded. Which will eventually cost you more money. Do you think that your computer will handle all the new Windows Vista games? If so then by all means continue to gloat. If not then I don't see how you can say such a thing.

All you console guys and your cost.

Xbox 360 = $400
TV to get resolution that my PC monitor does and look as good = $1700+
CoD 2 (for example) = $60
Same speakers I have for PC = $70
Xbox Live = $70

My PC ~ $800
Monitor = $350
Speakers = $70
CoD 2 = $50
Online = Free

Having Halo 3 on the Xbox and not on the PC....priceless. :lol :p
Not really, as I thought Halo 2 was horrendous and I imagine Halo 3 to be exponentially worse, just like Halo 2 was exponentially worse than Halo.

Re: HALO 3!!!!!

Xbox 360 = $450 [check]
TV to get resolution that my PC monitor does and look as good = [I got a SD tv so it's all good]
CoD 2 (for example) = $60 [check]
Same speakers I have for PC = $70 [already surround sound]
Xbox Live = $50 [check]

:D

Re: HALO 3!!!!!

For the record, DVI > component.

Either way, the cost isn't a consideration. My PC is both more powerful, and can do billions more than an Xbox 360 wishes it could do.

Re: Halo 3 Trailer!

I doubt it Stroobals. Even if they did it wouldn't come for at least 4 years. Halo 3 in '07, and they apparently take about 3 years to make a game. Plus I would imagine they are going to rest the Halo series a little, and make something else. Lotsa people think a Marathon sequel may be next.

Halo- 2001
Halo 2- 2004
Halo 3- 2007
Next game?- 2011

Re: HALO 3!!!!!

Lets see, for me.

Xbox 360- $400
CoD2- $60
VGA Adaptor- $40
Monitor- $200-250 (not sure ATM)
5.1 surround sound system... I'll get back to you on that. I think maybe $150?
Xbox Live- $50

Anyways, it isn't that expensive.

Also, you can get a 26" TV that supports 1080i and 720p for a mere $450.

I would like to see your specs on your computer. Also what size monitor do you have? Most big sized monitors are quite expensive also.

So are you a pure PC user? If your PC is better than a Xbox, surely it's more powerful and can do billions more things than a PS3 or a Wii will ever wish to do. :lol

Re: HALO 3!!!!!

This has become like the infamous (and waste of time) Mac vs. PC threads that plague message boards. What people don't realize is the fact that there is no difference. You prefer console games, and have a heck of a fun time playing your console. I prefer PC gaming, and thoroughly enjoy that as well.

It all boils down to personal preference. Whether I spent a little more on my computer than you did, you spent the same amount to get the same gaming experience on consoles.

Supporting those resolutions and actually running at them are two different things. I could easily hack my drivers and run 2048x1536, but it wouldn't look any better than the max resolution of the monitor.

We all know that. I just want to know what your computer specs are, since you keep telling us how much better your computer is.

Re: Halo 3 Trailer!

lol oh but there definitely is. I won't argue...but you'll see once it comes out or more stuff is released on it. :)
