All of you have to realize, that the game isn't done yet. It's only in Beta phase and they'll most likely do some finishing touches to make the graphics look better.

My code I got with the Rule of 3 didn't work when I tried it earlier. It's not just the crackdown discs.

EDIT: Lol Never mind I typed it in wrong... :lol

UPDATE

Go into Memory, press Y - selecting your hard drive, then press X X LB RB X X to clear your cache.

Put in Crackdown, get the auto update, download the beta =D

Yeah, I didn't have to clear my cache...lol bungie released that it'd be available at 10 pm instead of the 8 a.m. it said earlier because of problems. I'm loving this right now though.

It's alright...I've never seen a game's surroundings look better than halo 3. The water and waterfall is amazing.

Still images can give you an idea of what a game will look like but, as with all FPSs, frame rate is the main issue. I would rather have a game that runs smoothly than highly detailed blur fest.

Well some people were still having problems with downloading it so I thought I'd post that solution.

Heck yeah it is...especially with my surround sound. Being able to hear the gun fights from a distance is incredible.

I'm loving it. They've implemented some awesome new weapons to the line up. The three levels that it gives you in the beta are simply amazing...and there's tons of places to hide and wage all out war. Also, you can save replays from the game your in...so if you do really good...you can save that whole game right after it's done...and it only takes a couple seconds! I can't wait for the final product.

does it delete everything on your HDD?

^It just deletes game updates, stuff that takes a whopping 15 seconds to download.

The beta is fun, yes, but there are numerous things I would like changed.

even tho halo 3 wont come out til november or december due to delays...it sounds good now!

This game is definitely fun. What's really fun is the new removable turret gun. Man that thing is awesome. Love it. I already feel that the spartan laser is the new hammer of dawn and will be cheap. Hopefully they tone it down a bit when it officially gets released but I guess every game needs it's cheap weapon. That's my one and only complaint.

The graphics are good. They aren't supremely gorgeous or anything but it works. Looks like they focused more on gameplay. Which is always a good thing.

Yeah, the Spartan Laser is really cheap. There's no way to avoid it!

Also, the graphics will no doubtedly become better as the game continues development, so I won't worry there. The graphics already look great, but they could do a little work. Already the best looking first person shooter I've seen so far.

I don't think the laser is cheap at all, lol. If you see a laser tracking you you just gotta know to dodge it when it fires.

I can't shoot the thing for crap though... I'm horrible with it.

I love the turret, and to me the #1 most improved weapon from halo 2 to halo 3 is the carbine. I'll take a carbine over a BR. I haven't run into many people who somehow attempt to n00b combo (even though it doesn't really work that well) either. :)
