Official Halo 3 General Discussion

I'm having a lot of fun with it. :D

Last night I was playing against my friend and I used a flamethrower on some fuel cells and they exploded and knocked me off the level. It was SO funny. I was basically just playing around and trying to figure everything out.

Talk about sad. Didn't your Wii's fan bust? Just pointing out the obvious. Then again, we know your stance on anything that isn't Nintendo related for this gen so we'll leave it at that.

But yeah...my friend brought his 360 over today and he got the red rings. We did the towel trick and played for three more hours. Worked like a charm.
Actually, lol, it didn't. I thought it did because the fan like thing wasn't moving, but turns out it wasn't supposed to move. So yeah, it was more my mistake.

darn just 5 hours of single player?. that killed my desire to buy this game i guess i'll wait and see (wait until i get a job and can afford X-box live, and a 360)

The single player campaign was pretty intense and a lot better than i thought it was going to be. A little on the short side though... you could do it in like 5 or 6 hours

It takes longer than that though if you're playing with someone who's not as skilled...or if you aren't great and you're playing solo on Heroic. XD

damn i'm in a roller coaster XD, first i want it, then i don't now i want it even more, geez and the worst thing is i'm not gonna have it in a looong loong loooooong time (unless one of my friends want to play with me)

I beat it in 5 hours on easy and i'm not very good. Im going through on normal now and that will probably add an hour or so. Even though Im playing through the second time... the game hasnt lost any of its greatness

my Live is all messed up so I havnt dipped my toes into that yet

If this game didnt have multiplayer of ANY kind it would still be an excellent game

halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

SEATTLE - Within hours after die-hard fans finally got their hands on a copy of "Halo 3," blogs brimmed with reports that special limited-edition packaging is scratching the video game disks.

Microsoft Corp., which owns the studio that makes "Halo 3," responded quickly on its Xbox Web site with details for a replacement program. Customers can fill out a form and send in their scratched limited-edition disks for a free exchange through the end of December.

A Microsoft spokesman and a member of the company's outside PR firm did not immediately respond to calls and e-mails from The Associated Press requesting more information.

:'(

Re: halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

Wow... That sucks bad. I hope my copy I get doesn't get scratched because of it's case. I mean, doesn't that defeat the point of having a case to beggin with?

Re: halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

I have the legendary version. My discs are protected in two cases under the Master Chief Helmet. :D

Re: halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

the lady at my circuit city opened three different ones, and took discs of two of them and put them together and gave me that one.

You know how the Legendary edition comes with a DVD that has the cut scenes of Halo 1 & 2 and it was supposed to be remastered in hi-resolution? Well, I guess it wasn't. Instead of displaying in 16:9 it's all in 4:3, and it looks more like someone recorded it on a VCR. :(

Re: halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

Yeah, I heard this like two hours ago at school. Kinda funny that they would make such a simple mistake.

Re: Halo 3 Split Screen Co Op

I doubt it, why would you want to use a fourth of the screen? I mean, I can understand it might be fun to watch from other people's perspectives, but no, probably not.

Can you do split screen while on Live?

You can do up to four player co-op on live, with a max of two people per 360.

Four player CO-OP combinations:
-2 people on one 360 and 2 people on another
-2 people one one 360, 1 person on another, and one person on another
-1 person on a 360, 1 person on another, 1 person on another, and 1 person on another

If you are doing multiplayer you can have four people on the same 360.
