Official Halo 3 General Discussion

Halo 3, number 5 of all time on Gamerankings. All the haters have nothing to say now.

Wow, that like, totally changed our minds. Because it got such a high ranking, we should all buy it now, because it's such an opinion changing event.

Technically it could still go down. Bioshock was at #2 for a while when it first came out.

But anyway, that's still pretty cool. :)

NoT FoR PeOpLe WhO HaVeNt BeAt Halo 3 *may contain spoilers*

does any one get how destroying the ring from the first halo solved the brute problem on earth and how master chief died?

Like I said in some other topic, its a trend to start off high, and then gradually go down. Bioshock did the same thing.

It'll still have high reviews though. Of course, Halo had incredibly high reviews too, but that still didn't change my opinion on it.

never mind i didn't hear the words "wake me up when u need me" at the end probably because by brother was yelling in my ear cuz i beat it already. but i still don't get what happened to the brutes on earth.

Ending was pretty good, actually. Not sure 100% though...

Halo 2 had the best plot of the 3 games by far.

I actually enjoyed 3's better than 2's storyline. I thought the ending was really good also...

Odds are with their leadership gone, the humans and Elites were able to beat them.

I think we're supposed to assume that... Both races seem at peace now.

I doubt it, why would you want to use a fourth of the screen? I mean, I can understand it might be fun to watch from other people's perspectives, but no, probably not.

You can just see what the others were doing via film mode after. God I love that. :D

Re: halo 3 collectors is not a collection item

At my store the handling on the game was so bad (we only got the regular version) that we've had to claim out several for broken cases and loose disks, and some customers have already had to exchange their copies because of scratched disks.

Um, me and Mai have a HUGE tv and on a 4-way split it's like we each have our own 24-inch. So I wouldn't have minded a 4-split co-op as an option. Of course you're not going to want to do it on a 13-inch screen though.

lol, Today at school, the guy who was doing the morning announcements. Everything was normal and then at the end he goes

**spoiler**

"Master Chief dies..."

I couldn't help but laugh at the couple Halo fanboys in my class (they hadn't finished the single player, and I get the feeling Halo 3 was the only game they had played since Halo 2) who started freaking out and callng for his head. :lol

So my thoughts on the campaign. Some spoilers I guess.

Pros:
-Playing four player co-op is a total blast!
-Vehicles control just as awesome as ever. I even got used to the Chopper after a while.
-There were a lot of vehicle based missions.
-Playing as someone other than Master Chief is neat. ^_^
-Master Chief does not die.
-The Flood wasn't as annoying this time around (but actually I think that was because I wasn't playing solo)
-The new weapons are awesome!

Cons:
-The ending in the Warthog is ripped straight from...the first Halo. XD
-The indoor level design was still crap. Far too easy to get lost because one hallway looks exactly like the other. Outdoor stuff was awesome though.
-The Arbiter's default weapons suck for most levels.
