Official Halo 3 General Discussion

Well, whoever was doing the morning announcements is an idiot because he is wrong.

Flood levels were much better. Ending sequence was ripped, but it was an awesome homage, not a copy.

Re: Halo 3 Split Screen Co Op

Um, me and Mai have a HUGE tv and on a 4-way split it's like we each have our own 24-inch. So I wouldn't have minded a 4-split co-op as an option. Of course you're not going to want to do it on a 13-inch screen though.
Isn't the whole point of having a giant TV to make things bigger? And I'm not sure if that was a guess or not, but in my room, I'm stuck with a 13 inch TV. Lol.

halo 3 marathon suprise *spoilers*

There is a subtle link towards the Marathon game's storyline at the ending of the Halo series. A combat cyborg, Master Chief, is left stranded on a derelict ship in space. In the last unlockable cinematic, the ship is shown entering the atmosphere of a small planet. The ending of the Halo games took place in the year 2553, where Master Chief freezes his core systems to enable him to survive indefinately. Thus it is viable that the main character in Marathon is the Master Chief, revived by the ship's AI upon re-entry. The Halo series is scattered with UESC references, appearing in an awards ceremonys, on ships and other areas on the game. However initally in the series, the ships were branded with UNSC - standing for the United Nations Space Command.

Re: halo 3 marathon suprise *spoilers*

I heard about this (and watched the vid), and I'm still not convinced about any connection between the two. The entire sequence could have just been paying homage to Marathon for all we know. Basically, until Bungie says the two series are part of the same plotline, I'm not believing anything.

Re: halo 3 marathon suprise *spoilers*

I think it'd be really funny if while he was 'surviving forever', his pod just got smashed through with an asteroid and he died. I'm serious, I would love the Halo series if they did that.

Re: halo 3 marathon suprise *spoilers*

But they made both, so they can do that.

Re: halo 3 marathon suprise *spoilers*

So, I've never played Marathon but could Halo be the remake or sequels? :-\

I'm not going to be sarcastic on this post. I'm going to post it straight up. *takes a deep breath*

What the hell is wrong with you people? Why is it necessary for everybody with a 360 to worship and commit their life to Halo 3? Do you think that it's not possible for people to not like Halo? Well, I've got a hell of a newsflash for you, it is possible. Enough is enough. You people act as though we, the people who don't say everything positive about Halo, are blasphemers. We're going to burn in the fiery pits of hell if we don't conform to your ridiculous, crooked, feculent, idiosynchratic, religion of Haloism. I don't particularly care for Halo, and I never will. I don't mind it, I just think it's a mediocre Sci-Fi shooter that doesn't set itself apart much from most FPS except for it's highly exceptional and addicting multiplayer. Excuse me for being a blasphemer, but Halo's light of divinity just doesn't shine brightly on my taste in videogames. File a lawsuit against me, go ahead. Just remember, Master Chief isn't an attorney.
