Official Halo 3 General Discussion

Wow. Portal, Rock Band, and Wii Fit are far more innovative. Maybe not Galaxy, as that was just a good platformer with a new concept and a good enough camera to not screw it over.

Man I never play Xbox 360 anymore because boom has the 360 and my uncle has one but I am not there. But I will probably play halo 3 on xbox live tomorrow.

I haven't played Halo in months. :(

I need to get Xbox Live time.
Yeah, you're on every forty days or so. Just play single player games like me. I haven't had XBL in 170+ days and still play my Xbox regularly.

I just started playing it again last Sunday.

^ I got bored and made a new gamertag. I think I like the stats though so I'm gonna switch over to permanently using that one (with a gamertag rename, though, of course; I'm not part of KSI. Me and my friend were bored so we made ksi tags with SP names, Kyle and Cartman)

Mythic is a campaign expansion? Maybe an epilogue? The Skulls make you wonder.

Also coming: The implementation of a new EXP system. Now you only gain EXP in the playlist you're playing in (from what I make of it, correct me if I'm wrong please). You will have a separate military ranking for every play list you play in.

Yes, you're correct. That means you could be a General in one playlist (like Lone Wolves) but only be a Lieutanent in another playlist (like Team SWAT).

Which means all the current EXP goes away or gets sorted?

Also, the new Achievements are pathetically easy(set them up in social matches, done), so it just seems like a way to get people to buy the Legendary Maps.

They've sworn that they won't be wiping all XP that people have; your total XP is separate from this new system as it determines your "true" rank that is shown on your Service Record (which will work like ranks now... if you're a highest skill 50 with 600 XP then you'll still be a highest skill 50 with 600 xp). What they are doing, however, is nullifying XP that has been given out already towards the playlist you got the XP from. They're just basically making it so that the XP you've made through games in the past doesn't count towards the playlist you got that XP on.

OH ok... So what you're saying is, is that you start over in a sense, but they don't wipe out your number and rank? You just start from 0 in every playlist and it adds on from there? (sorry if that don't make sense, I'm tired and at school :lol) I get what you're saying, it just probably don't sound like I do. XD

Basically, yeah. You'll keep the XP you have right now; that's your "total" XP and counts towards your Overall Rank. They're just wiping the playlist they are attributed to; for example, if you earned 20 XP in Team Slayer games then that total will be wiped to 0. You'll still have that 20 XP in your "total", though.

So you keep your General/Major titles? If so you just ruined my day. I wanted to see my friend Billy cry who almost took a year to get to Major.

Lol... sorry ;_;

He'll still be a Major if people look at his Service Record (that's where it shows it)... but he'll be a Recruit in all of the playlists as will everyone else.
