Halo 1 is incredible. I could probably talk for days about how perfect it is.

The weapons are perfectly balanced (minus the Needler :P) so that each is useful in the right situation. Almost like a complex rock-paper-scissors formula. Granted, the pistol was a pretty good jack-of-all-trades gun, but the other weapons were very useful too. The vehicles were incredibly balanced too, which was a great feat considering that FPS games in 2001 (especially on consoles) hadn't really seen vehicles integrated at all, let alone balanced. The warthog had to be one of the coolest features though, just because it promoted teamwork and cooperation and was a blast to drive around.

And it popularized console LANs, definitely it's best contribution to the gaming world.
 
Halo 1 was obviously great but I think I prefer Halo 2 simply because of the way it revolutionized online play. It's by far the best game to play on Xbox Live and it was so easy to make groups and custom games. Some of the best times i ever had.
 
Sgt. Johnson returns!

Yes, grizzled UNSC hero Sgt. Johnson may not have fared so well in Halo 3, but Halo 3: ODST takes place before the final installment of the trilogy, meaning it's game on. Players who pre-order ODST at select retailers will receive a token to unlock Sgt. Johnson in the game's new Firefight mode, which plays much like the Gears of War 2 Horde mode, only with progressively activated Halo 3 skulls giving the battle a bit of flavor.

He's looking pretty good for a dead guy, isn't he? It'll be nice to take ol' Avery out for a spin again, if only to give him a chance to kick just a little more butt before the curtain closes on him in act three.

Sweet Midship is going to be added to ODST! I have a halo 3 map for it but its not as good as the real thing.

Also can anyone help me get a 50 in Halo 3? Ugh, it makes me annoyed when i party with random people and, they suck or the entire team quits on me...
 
How many free map packs in Halo 3 are there now? I have the Heroic one (I believe) and the free map they released a while ago. Did they ever make any of the other ones free?

The new Heretic map revisits Halo 2's Midship map, allowing players to plasma grenade each other all over the interior of the Pious Inquisitor. From purple reign we move on to the Forerunner Citadel, which features tight spaces where communication is key. Finally we make a stop off at Old Mombasa in the Longshore map, built for large scale battles over control of this strategically important port.
