way to be retro

bringing down the mood as usual

It's called an opinion, do I have to be positive about anything that's Nintendo?

Also, if you look carefully, I ended my sentence with a possitive statement anyway, just so people like you wont complain.

Re: New brawl character

is it bad that I haven't even heard of knuckle joe till just now? I can't remember him in any kirby games I've played

Re: New brawl character

I've never heard of Knuckle Joe either...hopefully, like Mai said, this is just a distraction from the great characters that'll be shown later. :)

Re: New brawl character

it seems that knuckle joe isn't a playable character but is one of the assist trophies

Re: New brawl character

Looks like a character to me. He's laying some smack down on Yoshi there.

'Course that could just be because everyone loves to beat up Yoshi. :P

Re: New brawl character

Viewtiful Joe would be a great character to add.

And I agree with Retro. Knuckles Joe? Lame. You show me one person who found out he was in the game and gave an honest cry of "YES! I was hoping they'd put him in!" and I will show you the true meaning of "minority."

here's a link showing knuckle joe as one of the assist tropheys

That would explain why he's next to Kirby and just doing one move.

Fire Emblem's Ike in Smash Bros. Brawl
Does that mean that other Path of Radiance characters might show up?
By Mark Whiting, 08/01/2007

As the days count down to the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the excitement and speculation over which characters will show up has built itself up to a fever pitch.
Today, Nintendo has seen fit to unveil one more addition to the roster. It's Ike, from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance!

Check out some more officially released shots of Ike over at SmashBros.com. According to the brief caption his special "Aether" move is potent enough to send enemies flying with a single mighty swipe.

Hmm, he looks alot like Marth.

Re: Official SSBB Topic

Yeah, he does. I hope he plays differently enough from Roy and Marth to make his appearance worth it, though.

Re: Official SSBB Topic

:) I almost bought FE for gamecube today... is it any good?

Re: Official SSBB Topic

Yes, Path of Radiance is awesome. I beat it twice in a row, in fact. I can't wait for its sequel on the Wii.

Re: Official SSBB Topic

Awesome, I was hoping for another swordsmen in there to compete with Link. I loved having fights between two swordsmen in Melee.

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/13/pokemon-trainer-joins-the-super-smash-bros-brawl/

The regular Super Smash Bros. Brawl updates just keep getting better as a Pokémon Trainer has been revealed as a playable character. While we're slightly bummed about not coming to blows with Ash Ketchum, the Pokémon Trainer in Brawl doesn't do his fighting directly. Instead, he warms up the bench and issues commands to his three Pokémon: Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard.

This isn't like say, Marvel vs Capcom or Street Fighter EX 3 where you could control all of your characters at the same time. The trio is cycled in and out with a special command and in classic Pokémon fashion. All of the Pokémon share the same damage meter, but they all have their own individual stamina which will prevent players from sticking to just one.

That's pretty unique. Being able to use three pokemon in battle. Should add some pretty interesting fighting tactics.

Re: Official SSBB Topic

It adds more variety. Nintendo's really doing an awesome job on this game. More characters = better. Especially when their fighting styles are different and varied.
