See, Zi agrees! Regardless, this is definitely "game of the year" material. The character roster alone makes the replay value insane.
About three hours ago, I may have agreed with that, but after a five hour Brawl binge, I'm starting to get bored of it. Maybe I'm judging it a bit early, but Nintendo seemed to choose quantity over quality, in the case of Brawl. There is a ton to do, but a lot of it just isn't very good, or interesting.

The online will probably manage to keep me interested in Brawl for a while, but if Brawl is goty, then 2008 will have been a poor year for gaming.

True I agree... it's still too early. Yet until then....*goes back to playing*

Come on Sonic! UNLOCK!! grrr!

no one else feels like this is slower or the wiimote and nun-chuk are a bit off?

maybe I should try it with a different controller.

what controller do you all use?

it's always looked slower to me since the first gameplay footage came out.

I used the gamecube controller.

I definitely think this game is GOTY material. I love it.

I know I've told you all that I rape with Cp. Falcon, but not in this game folks. He's been dumbed down so much. Now my mains are Link and Mario. Don't even get me on sudden death when I'm Link. (ask fhqwhgads)

I might try the classic controller... but the shield is in a bad place on that controller.

also, the controls don't seem resppnsive enough. I hold the shield down, and do an evasive manuever, by my character doesn't move.

I jump, and many times I get the 2nd half jump not the 1st initial jump.

then when falling, my character doesn't grab ledges all the time (was using link).

falling through the air, it seems to be harder to jump back to a platform... the jumping mid air just isn't as easily performed. I see this being a problem for multiplayer games.

last, the Gamecube controller C button let you do some of the stronger moves more quickly and reliably (imo). That's not an option for the Wii version (I believe).

I will have to play more I guess.

That was also in Melee. I believe if you hold A while using the C stick it should charge the smash attack if you would have done it the regular way. That is of course if they didn't change that.

Right now, Blue Link :lol I am not very far along. I used to use Marth all the time...

I am using the Wii remote and Nun-Chuk... I might try the Gamecube controller for awhile.

@ Frodus --> The c stick on Melee did different attacks on multiplayer, and the attacks were very responsive. I had trouble with the Charges in Melee... in Brawl, I can get the charges going and done without a hitch. That is a BIG PLUS for Brawl (IMO).

The WFC service is going to be faulty for a good week or so, if previous popular WFC titles are any proof. And the fact that I get three second lag with a friend that lives 10 minutes away from my home. :/

As for sudden death, you saying you like Sudden Death or hate it? I personally hate it. Cost me the GS tournament. Er, well, actually... a Landmaster did. It was the finals... I was winning, but he got the smash ball (He's fox, I'm Ike btw). Kills me with the landmaster. Since it's 1 minute matches and there was only 10 seconds left, I waited on the hovering platform and took as many invincibility frames as I could... but of course he got me in Sudden Death (faster character = :().

I asked the dude afterwards if he's buying the game, he said he already owned it previously. :(

Making it to the finals is pretty cool, though. ^_^

I haven't had a lot of time to play yet, so I've only unlocked two characters so far. I have a long way to go, but I also have the next two days off, so we'll see what happens. :D

Yeah, I guess so. Thanks. :)

Oh, if you want to unlock everyone quickly, and don't mind practically "cheating" yourself out of normal unlocking... Use a Wiimote. Choose Special Brawl, set it to Stamina, and choose Flower so everyone constantly takes damage. Set a computer at 1hp, and give yourself more than 1 hp (I just left mine at 150, doesn't matter really). Then just start the match... it'll end in less than a second. The Wiimote comes in handy because you can carry it around the house and get stuff done, hehe. I got my chores done while unlocking characters this morning. Just make sure you turn the volume up so you can hear when you get a challenger.

Alternatively, just grab a GameCube controller with Turbo functionality. Set the Start button to Turbo, tape it down, and set it up like above. That's it. (Again, don't stray too far-- you gotta be there to /fight/ hidden characters! :P)

i got from school and i'm going directly to play brawl XD but the first thing i'm going to do is watch ike's first scene XD, i love his suprise appeareance.

nintendo fanboys must be enjoying this game like i do, it's a dream come true to see these characters working and helping each other, and for some kirby fans playing in similar designed stages, though SSE is more of a platformer, wich means that it's more to kill time than to be innovative.
