Yeah, everyone is, it's a widespread problem. Try again, I guarantee you won't get past the practice stage.

that's weird... even w/ friends you cannot connect?

Does anyone know why there is a problem?

The only problem I've come across is that Joyling and I are both playing, and there seems to be no way to make her name appear as Joy instead of MISH. So, when we fight, there's two people with MISH over their head, and I get confused sometimes because I think I'm Joy's character. :lol

did you create 2 profiles? Then select the profile you want to use on the character select screen?

Yeah, there is two profiles, but when Joy is second player it won't let her select another name. I don't know how to check and see if she's using the wrong button, because she uses the classic controller. For me, I just have to put the hand cursor over where it says Player 1 and I can select to change it by pressing A, but I'm using a Gamecube controller.
 
Yeah, pressing A when I'm over "Player 2" exits me from the session. Pressing B exits me from the session. Pressing any other button has no effect.

I've gotten into quite a few matches. Yes, a lot of it is Nintendo's fault... but there is at least something we must do to our routers to ensure maximum compatibility. I got absolutely nobody online, then I forwarded some ports for my Wii on my router and next time I tried I got into a 4 player match, followed by several more.
 
I haven't actually tried playing online other than with people on my Friend roster, so I'm not sure if it works for me or not.

Last night I got to about 33% done with the SSE. I hate the level design, tbh. I have a lot of trouble with the parts where you have to keep moving because the level is scrolling and if you are too slow or too fast, you die.
 
So yea, I heard plenty of my friends couldn't connect to the online yesterday. I have but one reason why this would happen to so many. Yesterday low and behold was Chuck Norris's 68th Birthday and he wanted to play brawl in peace.

WiFi still works, you know... :p

It's my first match I had on my Wii. Yes, we all sucked. We were inexperienced. But it's always fun to look back a year or two from now and see if I've improved.

I know it works, but I wanna battle my friends, not some random crazy kid who has more freetime than the average gamer lol

No, I called them. They said it's because there are so many people playing at once.

ok i'm seriously freaked out >_> the "option" doesn't appear in my wi-fi menu (there should say "option" in the middle of with friends and with anyone) and the only way to fix it (acording to some non-sure sources) is to reseting the file......gosh...i hope it's not true specially not the day i got all the characters >_>
