Official Super Smash Bros. Brawl Topic

I want to ask a honest question, and I want to see your opinions....

....What do you guys think of SSBB? Imho, it's not very good. :/

i said it many times...it's my almost perfect game.... the only issue right now for me is on-line wich should be fixed soon.
i think adventure mode has a good story for any nintendo fan (samus and pikachu working together = priceless...well 50$)
the multiplayer is like other smash game very addictive and the dragoon, gooey bomb and final smashes make twists during battles that create a big emotion.
the game it's enough to last for 1 generation.. even if i finish all the challenges (wich are fun and time consuming)
it's even fun to play alone but it's a blast to play with 4 people and maybe you need to play it a little more with some other people. because sometimes is bothersome if i play with my neighbor but it's awesome if i play with my friends
and i think i didn't mean anything wrong when i posted this (10/10)

It's alright. Definitely a must-have for the Wii but that's not saying much. Some trophies are very tedious to get like beating All-star with every character/boss battle with every character/classic with every character..stuff like that. Level design's fantastic, no complaints there. SSE was a poor addition Imo. On-line not the best. Huge roster is always a plus. I'd probably now, after playing more of it, give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.

I thought it was a fun game that was worth the money I paid for it. It was similar to Melee in combat (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), and just as enjoyable when it came to playing wth other people. It really is a great game to play with friends.

The problem came when I got to the adventure mode. It was 8 hours of torture just so I could get unlockable characters. The cutscenes could be cool occasionally, but other than that it was just horrible level design, and bad gameplay.

I did this everything with so I could use more characters skirmishes with friends, frequently through online play. The problem was having more than two people fighting at once lead to lag. Not only that, but the lack of voice chat just plain sucked. I can't tell you how many times I killed someone with a final smash and wanted to gloat about it, but couldn't.

Despite those criticisms, it's still worth the money and a hell of a lot of fun to play with others.
 
Eight hours? Should've done the quick unlock method... :p

Similar to Zidart, I've said this time and time again... this is the best game I've ever played. Ever. No other game from any other genre comes close.

I like it better than Melee. I like the additions to the character roster, actually.

But I have to agree with Cherry on the SSE.

And the final boss is cheaper than Alpha-152, which is saying a lot.

But yeah, it's probably the best game in its genre.
 
I loved it. Seriously, I don't really see anything big enough to complain about.

My feelings exactly. Best game ever, in my book.
 
We get that you guys love the game, as you've said it numerous times before, but please understand why in many others' opinions, it's sub-par.

Hmm... so after beating the game and looking back. I actually enjoyed the SSE. It was a little boring at times, but I enjoyed the story and the game play wasn't really bad for a sidescroller. I guess you just have to be in the right mood to enjoy SSE. The multiplayer is basically amazing. Really the only flaw is the unbalanced final smashes. But other than that its perfect. Online started a little laggy, but fixed over time and now is very fun, except it seems like nobody good plays online so I always end up winning. :P. The extra things, boss battle, all star, break the targets, etc are all really fun. I like how the levels are all the same for each character for break the targets, unlike melee. The challenges keep giving you goals after you beat everything else, although some are tedious. Overall one of the best games I've played. I love it.

We wouldn't have said anything if GamingMaiden hadn't asked us what we thought.

And you guys have said multiple times that you thought it was subpar... :/ Doesn't matter, though. Strubes, we know you think the game isn't the best game ever, and we think it's amazing. That's okay, and perfectly fine. Nobody's disputing that in the slightest bit in this topic, man... we're just responding to GamingMaiden.

GM asked us all our impressions of the game. I'm not sure what's wrong with hearing the opinions of those who loved it, as well as those who didn't

Subpar is maybe the wrong word to describe my impression of the game, but you're right. We've all stated our opinions on the game before. We all just restated them because GM asked us.
 
Great...everything comes back to me. :lol

Anyways, it's good to see your opinions on it, but I can't honestly understand how it's the best game ever imho. :-\
