oh, i thought y'all wwere just playin for fun

my b

well when you're playing with your friends it is for fun but in a tournament it is different.

and heck does nobody really want to play this game anymore >_>U?

I agree that items are fun and good for fun/party matches... but they have no place in a tournament, IMO. They have too much of a random factor, and someone isn't better than another player just because the Smash Ball/pokeball/whatever spawned right next to them. :/

Because that stuff isn't very fun to me.

I'm the same way. I don't find items to be an entertaining portion of the game. Now, I'll tolerate them; I don't care about them being on in fun matches. But I'm not a big fan of them myself.

I like them in the game, makes for the possibility of a chance at a comeback.

not only that, they make a few twists in the gameplay that make the game otherwise less linear and less melee like, is ok if they don't like items but why do they have to call us noobs just for using them (then again is fun to beat them in both ways, with and without items)

then you're playing with the wrong people. I have played with of a few of these "tourney tards" and most of the good/cool ones do play with items for fun.

That's not a tourney tard. Playing pro Smash doesn't make you a tourney tard, whining about items in every match does.

well yeah, the ones i'm talking about are people that would reset the match if items are on or if they play on a non-flat stage.

besides i understand that some people might not like playing with items but why not compromise and play few matches with items and few items without them ?

personally I prefer no items on a flat stage. I like only a few of the items and most of the nonflat stages aren't really appealing.

yeah but would you run away from a battle just because you're in DK falls? with items in medium???.

besides the best smash player should be the one that can play in any situation, circumstances and rules... sadly the world doesn't look at it that way

I would "run away" if it were a tournament/competitive match :/ But that's about it.

It's been a couple weeks since I've played this. The only other time is when I helped a friend get a couple trophies a few nights ago.
