Oh crap! (Final Fantasy X)

I spent quite some time on that game. Like maybe 100 hours. i didnt like it compared to the other Final Fantasies. I feel like its the RE4 of Final Fantasy, new stuff but not the same.
 
A lot of people said it controlled like XI. This makes it interesting to try for me, since I am actually GOOD at XI.

That would be because it's a remake of a 20ish year old game, so it's quite a poor RPG in comparison to more modern ones.

2 words......FREAKING ADDICTIVE i am in my 100th hour and i haven't still finished all the freaking hunts and espers (mostly because i can only play ps2 on the weekends)

Glad to see some people who dont dis the gambit system. GTA4 needs gambits.

Im in my 80th hour and im in my mid 40's for all my characters. we are strongly based on magic but Vaan and Basch are heavy knights. One thing though: I cannot understand a dang thing thats going on with the plot.
 
yeah i had to watch the scenes again in youtube to understand them but once i did i realized the plot is good.

my characters have almost all the licenses (just a few weapons left) however to make a strategy with the gambits i order them like this

vaan = time magic gambits
balthier = arcane magic gambits
fran= black magic gambits
bash = techknichs gambits
ashe= white magic gambits
penelo= green magic gambits

i do it this way so i don't have to change completely my gambits during a boss battle, i just change characters
 
Your a team of mages? I may have not made myself clear here. I meant that all of my characters can use magic ok, but... well, ill let this describe it.


Vaan: Heavy armor, swords, spears, moderate black magick skill

Basch:Heavy armor, axes & hammers, Greatswords, moderate time and white magick

Fran: Light armor, ninja swords, bows, third best white magic

Balthier: some light and some heavy armor, poles *lol* crossbows, guns, knives, worst magickpower

Ashe: Mystic armor, staffs, power rods, Great skill in all magicks but perferres black the most

Penelo:Mystic armor, staffs and power rods, great skill in white magick


Yeah I know; really uncreative. Still, im getting a lot of fun.
 
oh i meant the kind of magic they use but if you wanna give a name to my team i would say they are onion knights but the equipment i got for them is this

vaan = swords
balthier = guns
fran= bows
ashe= rods and that kind of white magician stuff
basch= spears
penelo= daggers and the sticks wich their name eludes me right now XD

i don't use axes or bombs because i rather have alwas an average attack than sometimes a strong attack (or sometimes just 1 point of damage)

my armors and accesories are the same for each one of my team.. maximilians and demon shields for those who can use them. as for accesories all my active party members= the accesory that doubles EXP and my reserve = golden amulet

this is one of the things i like of this game. the freedom of your party is almost endless, each person may have a very different party
 
Maximillion? Bah, im still stuck in Carribian Armor. Speaking of stuck, what are you supposed to do when it tells you to look for geruvegin in the feywood?
 
Well, I'm gonna take a wild guess since I've never played it, and say you should start by looking for geruvigan in the feywood.

if yo get to the giant gate, summon belias and open the door (this is the part i was stuck )
 
I wasnt stuck there, but if you hadnt said that, I wouldve been. I just got out of that big friggin tower and beat dr cid.
 
Mm..I thought this was a Final Fantasy X topic...so back to THAT topic...I don't know if I want to start another FFX game, because of all the good games coming out this month!

yeah, i was thinking about going back to beat beyond good and evil, prince of persia 3, and oblivion, but its just not worth it with all these games coming out.
