oh well i have a wii and it looks better on the wii and i like using pointing so wii version FTW

That's cool though. I just prefer the PS2 control. It's still a great game none the less.

A bad port on the Wii to be honest. Sad because I was really looking forward to this game. One of the few I wanted to purchase. Unfortunately, it's been plagued by poor Wii-mote functionality. You have to have exact, pin-point precision with each stroke of the Wii-mote. A ton harder than the PS2 version. The PS2 version is far superior, IMO. It's worth a rent though.
I don't know man... the consensus I've heard on the Wii version: IT rocks.

I never was going to buy this game (even though it looks interesting)... but, I've heard so many good things on the Wii version, I am going to probably get it.

It does rock. Just doesn't control the way I'd like. Just some of the control and motion control aren't really cutting it.

From Gamespot:
The standard combat controls take some time to get used to. Weapons like the life beads work remarkably well, doing plenty of damage with a forward flick of the Wii Remote. Standard reflectors, on the other hand, may cause you frustration at first, because you can't string attacks together simply by incessantly flinging your remote forward and back. Rather, you need to time subsequent attacks, or your thrusts won't respond as you'd expect. This is one area where the PlayStation 2 version has the upper hand.

From 1up:
Whereas drawing lines, symbols, and circles with the PS2's analog stick was a slower, more meticulous process, it very rarely failed. Now, too many of those same actions take more tries than they should; drawing simple horizontal lines can cause headaches if you don't have a perfectly steady hand. It gets easier over time, but the occasional failure never ceases to annoy. Early in the game, when tasked with a long-term side quest to hunt various rare creatures, you'll slash their names off a list as you defeat them. That first simple swipe held me up for an extra frustrating few minutes -- I cursed the imprecision and longed for the simplicity of the original.

Every reviewer also stated it's pretty easy to get used to. They said the problem wasn't that it demanded precision, it was that it shouldn't have been there, but it's fine once you get used to it.

nah i think this is just that you are so used to ps2 controlers that you feel weird when you do it with the wii, just give it some time and you'll grow to like it.

You're right. I'm used to the PS2 controller when it comes to this game.

i understand it took me a while to get used to RE4 controlers now i can't go back to ps2 anymore XD

i decided to buy this game right after mario kart wii :D. i can't resists the artistic style and the comparison to zelda games this game has (specially because i'm a japanese lover)

I'm three hours in, and still can't get into it.

well is a long game so you should put more time into it, maybe you'll like the options or powers they give you later on

The world record speed run is nine hours. You're not far into it even if you played as fast as possible.

i got this game today, is an amazing piece of art, the story, the music, the characters, the gameplay, the graphics they are all outstanding and beatiful, now i know why this game got game of the year a few years ago, and the wii version is even more colorful and engaging, the wii controls work like a ring on a finger, definetly i'm going to spend a lot of time with this amazing game

I LOVED this game when I played it on the Ps2. I got it for the Wii and it just didn't do it for me. Some of the controls were a bit off, though I did notice that drawing the "bomb" was MUCH easier with the wii-mote than with the Ps2 controller. As for the picture, I really don't think the graphics were quite as good. They just didn't pop as much as they did before, and I feel almost like the sides were chopped off of the screen. Maybe it's just because I enjoyed it so much the first time around, and now nothing can compare to that. It's too bad I couldn't find some screenshots of the two games to compare, because I felt like the colors were much more washed out and slightly blurred for the Wii version. But then don't they say that the Wii engine is much more similar to the Gamecube? Maybe it just wasn't possible for it to process as much as the Ps2 engine did.

Anyway, whether you get it for the Wii or the Playstation it is still one treat of a game. I was very disappointed when I heard that the studio that made it shut down. Now hopes of a sequel are pretty much dead. What a bummer, this game shows how at times game development can be a real artform. It's wonderfully lovely.

well i really like that the wii version has a bit more colors though, the ps2 looks more paper-like, but the colors are nice and with 480P and widescreen it looks amazing, and i've seen pictures in comparison and there's a big diffrence honestly.

now clover studios only changed their name to platinum something, they are developing "madworld" for wii =D
