Patiently passing your time in the grassland away
I found $600 dollars in my front yard while mowing it one hour ago!!! My mom took $100 for bills(i gave it to her) she let me keep the rest of it!!! What should I do with it? I might buy the 360 or a PSP...I don't know. I'll keep it for awhlie; so I'll wait for replies....

HELL'S NO I'M NOT KIDDIN' YOU, HOMIE!!!! Me so happy, Me so happy!!!! :D

Yea, save some in the bank. Wait till november to spend it on games. You may find yourself liking the PS3 or Wii ;-)

But yea, listen to the guys below me. That's what you should really do

Wait a sec..this isn't normal at all, that money was hidden for a reason and someone forgot about it. Do a good deed and go to the police station with it. LOL

Hell with the police man, its yours. Who would hide money in the yard. Maybe you were on like a secret new TV show where they give out cash to hard workin lawn mowers... :lol

I would wait to spend it though... the future looks promising

just dont buy a PSP

that sounds really weird. I dont think $600 just randomly appears and I dont think someone would hide it unless it was illegal.

You guys are all harsh! You should return it to the cops and wait a couple of weeks to see if anyone claims it!</innocent guy>

That's what I was thinking, maybe it was from a old robbery from the store down the street or something?

Was it all $100s or $20 bills?

He hasn't posted since he got the money too, hope he didn't get locked up for finding dirty money. Man that'll be messed up if that happens.

ummm yeah that was mine can i have it back??

but seriously i would buy cds and band shirts with

This is a tough one. Finding $600 in cash is weird. But if he takes it to the cops, you know how many people that could possibly coem in and say, "Hey!! That's my $600!!" Now, if there was a wallet with some sort of identification in it, then he most definately should report it.

Integrity says report it. But there is absolutely no way that someone can claim it...

Hold onto it for a month or two and if u dont have any drug dealers, pimps or hit men knocking at your door looking for $600 dont worry bout it! Its was on your lawn so its your property. Or take it to the police so they can spend it. You might get a reward, a new lawnmower or something.

It is not your property just because it was found on your lawn. If my neighbor walks his dog through my yard, I can't just say "Hey man, that's my dog now. He was in my yard. In fact, you were on my property too, so give me your watch, your rings and your wallet. They were on my property, so theyre mine." That isn't how things like this work. If a little kids ball rolls in your yard, it is not yours anymore than $600 you find in your yard is yours.

And to Dart, if somebody lost that amount of money, odds are they would go to the police station and report that they lost it. And, if someone turned in said amount of money, the cops would probably call them if a similar amount of money was turned in. It isn't like you can just go in and ask the cops if anyone turned any money in lately and claim its yours.

"Hello officer. I was wondering if anybody turned in any money lately."
"Why, did you lose some?"
"No, just wondering."
"Oh, well, somebody turned in $200 yesterday."
"Really? Well, I just lost $200 yesterday, fork it over bud."
"Okay."

The point is, Manson, you are 15. You are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Ask yourself these questions

1. What would be the right thing to do here?
2. Is what I am doing right, or wrong?
3. Why did I choose to do what I did?

The answers are, by the way,
1. Turn the money in to the police.
2. Wrong.
3. Greed.

Anyways, I guess I shouldn't have expected so much out of my generation. I hope you make the right decision.

Yeah, I agree.  Chances are, someone worked hard for that money......how would you feel if someone took something you had worked for?

If it were 5 or 10 bucks........it may have been okay.  Noone would report that, I would just use it to go get some ice cream or something, but $600 is a good chunk of cash.

Screw morals, I'd spend the hell outta that money!

Yea, but what if it was your money he was spending? :-\ Fact is we don't know the circumstances of this cash. It's not like he won a contest and that was the prize. It was just laying there and cash does not appear out of thin air. Not like it's just $20 either. That's a lot of mony to just find.
