9.7 is the highest score OXM has ever given. Also, the original Halo scored 9.5, so there's a .2 improvement.

I don't have the actual mag yet; I got this info from IGN. But I will definitely give you guys more details when I get my issue.

Apparently, the ending is a bit disappointing.
 
With Halo 2, the only thing I'm hoping it doesn't have is a grand total of about 4-5 levels again. Halo sucked for that with all the repeats that were barely changed at all, and the Library was just stupid. 5 Floors of the same junk over and over again.
 
OMFG, awesome!!! This is great news!! I wonder what they mean by "the end", like, if they mean the ending story or the last gameplay scenario. Oh well, I'm stoked 8)
 
I think he might have just meant that he was disappointed that it ended? I don't know. I've heard the review is spoilery so I might not read it right away even when I get the issue.

What if Master Chief is really a woman with a really deep voice and cool cybernetic suit? (and amazing combat skills, the ability to drive any vehicle, use any weapon, flip over 66 ton tanks easily, etc.) :D
 
Actually, Master Chief is a man. Or had a sex change before he was 6 years old. In all three Halo books, Master Chief is referred to as a man and is seen without his suit.
 
About December's OXM, the demos were cool. I'm definitely gonna have to get DOA Ultimate. It rocked! The Easter Egg demo sucked, since I know 0 Japanese.

Read the book. The way it went was earth started a program were they would actully steal children about 1 year of age, clone them, give the clone back to the parents, and grow the child themselfs. Of course they trained them to be the greatest of warriors. I belive they were up to 40 in all, but most of them were killed in the battle of reach right before Halo. As I said, they were trained even when they were kids, playing war games with adult soldiers and almost always kicking thier butt.

And yes, many of them were women. But Master Cheif, whose real name is John (Which is my name by the way, suckers), was the best of them. The armor that they have on was issued out much later on in thier training. There are a couple Spartans left aside from Master Chief, and I'm hopeing they show up in the game.

I could go on and on, but I think I should stop.
 
I should get the three books.

Are they just prequels to Halo? Or do they actually have the storyline of Halo in them, and explain many things in greater detail?
 
Frew, Will, Kelly, and Linda are not in the game.
Thank god someone else has read the books. But why the hell not, I mean I didn't expect them to but damn it...

The first book, The Fall Of Reach, happens right before Halo takes place. The second one, The Flood, is what happend on Halo. And the third on, First Strike, happens right after Halo. And yes, the explain things in much greater detail. You have no idea the back story to that game...
