Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

This game got a 9.1 on Gamespot....is it really that good? It's only $15 here. Maybe I'll pick it up. They also said it's one of the best games on the Cube.

fun game, so unique and the game itself is also quite enjoyable, nothing too challenging except maybe the side mission available after you beat it, but again still very fun (I especially like the paper "curse" powers)

if you looking for more games to add to your cube I would suggest this title

Yes, it really is that good. I'm a recent 'Cube owner so I'm always checking out the top (all time) GameCube games at Gamespot. So far I haven't been disappointed by any of the titles I've purchased based on their ratings. Paper Mario is an outstanding RPG with great graphics and charming gameplay. It really will win you over...

Yeah I saw it $17 over here..thinking about it, I played the N64 original alot, loved it...might have to venture into this one

I'm wondering how you guys have gone this long without playin it. BUY IT NOW!! No joke it's that great

I got so far in Paper Mario... then I had to return it, and my brothers deleted the file from /my/ memory card because they wanted to play Billy Hatcher.

I thought it was interesting the first time through, as I never played the first one. I pretty much "lol'd" at any moment involving paper effects.

We have it, and are currently playing through it.

It is OK. Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime, Windwaker, Pikmin2, etc. ....those games were really good.

But paper mario is only OK in my opinion. Some of the RPG battles seem so annoying, and like work. Some parts seem tedious, and not fun. But, overall, it was a pretty good game. Just OK, though...

I don't know if I would call Super Paper Mario a sequel. I think it's more along the lines of being in the same series, but I'm not sure if the stories are connected at all. People tell me that Paper Mario (N64) and Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door don't have to be played in order to understand either one.

But at any rate, the Wii is affordable, and it's backwards compatible. I don't see why it would be a problem for Gamecube owners to upgrade. They can play all of their GC games on the Wii.

To play Billy Hatcher? That was some annoying music in that game!
