Tell me about it. Its certainly a lot harder to be a conservative (or as you yanks call it, a "republican") these days too. Isn't there some sort of political entity which supports traditional family values, and yet opposes aggressive foreign policy? You would think that the two would be complimentary... :lol

When one side takes an extreme position (like I did), the other side, almost by default, comes off as the opposite extreme. I know you're not an uber-republican nor do you love Bush.

With a two party system (sorry, but I can't view Libertarians as a legitimate threat or party in comparison to the two established ones), there are merely members of each party who are viewed as supporting traditional family values and yet opposes aggressive foreign policy. Personally, I am as you say. But I also consider myself Independant (with Republican leanings).
