PJ had plenty of bombs before that one. :lol

Really when it comes down to it, LOTR was his only success. Of course, it was so successful it pretty much evens out all his failures, and then some.
 
Are you talking about King Kong or the upcoming Halo movie? :lol

I thought you were talking about Kong bombing, but now you've lost me. In any case, I think if anyone could do a successful movie about Halo, it will be PJ and the talented crew at WETA workshop. Frankly, it gives me hope for all videogame movies. A director like PJ isn't going to try to appease strictly to the hardcore gamers, nor is he going to change the plot of Halo to try and make a movie that's loosely based around the game.

I'm hoping PJ will show the world that if videogame movies are taken seriously, and done with some kind of passion, then they will find an audience.

1 question remains, animated, or live action?
 
I was assuming that MD was speaking if a Donkey Kong movie. A great game, but will make a horrible movie.
