Well I did my first pre-order ever, from Best Buy, for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl for the PC. I made the original order on the 10th.
Now apparently I was tired or something, and I got the basic e-mail saying "thank you for your order, etc." however, I never remembered getting it. I made the silly assumption that something had went wrong, my order was never processes, etc. so I decided to order it again today.
Well, I went through the e-mails again, and realized that I did indeed have to orders. "Joy", I thought, "I just bought the same game twice!" That would've been an extra $40+ down the drain (as I'm the only person I know with a gaming quality PC).
Well, the only way to cancel was by calling Best Buy's "Customer Care". Did so, and went through the automated crap and hoping for the word cancel. It never came, so I had it transfer me to an availaible perosn, which took about 5 seconds. Though "Drew" had a somewhat thick accent, I have good ears (I work with kids at a ski resort, so I'm used to odd sounding english :lol) she canceled my order in less then a minute.
Other reason why I thought the order never went through? There was never a charge on my debit card. I didn't realize till now that they only charge for a down payment.
