Playstation 3: Psx/Ps3 Software Emulation versus Actual Chips on Board?

Major update. For people who still want the 80GB do not need to fear anymore. Thanks to firmware update patch 2.0. Backwards compatible issues have been fixed, namely the game I had problems with, now plays without any hassle :)

It's actualyl just a normal looking box... it had motorstorm in it though... quite odd..

and... I hate to say it... my ps3 doesn't get much play. Even as good as the reviewers gave motocross... I am not fond of that. resistance is fun... but got a bit stale. SONY FRIGGIN BRING OUT SOCOM!!! THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT MY PS3!!!

I think I am just harder to please game wise anymore.

I dont know dude, I was just playing Resistance today and I have to say, this game is unforgiving in terms of a challenge. How far are you into the storyline? I just made it to "Devil at the Door". Those bizarre "ANGEL" creatures are a pain in the butt.

Everyone has said so many bad things about Resistance, but I have to say, I like this game...

My co-workers say "It's the most generic FPS..." I don't know, I've never really seen weapons, generades, and such like in these. I do admit it does tend to rip off Halo once in a while, but the storyline is weird. The entire "Aliens taking over and turning humans into Chimera" is pretty cool.

Yet I would have to say, if you give it more time, then it tends to grow on you a bit.
 
I'm not saying I don't like the game. It's not too bad. I bought a Playstation system for 1 franchise only... SOCOM... :-\
but resistance is not bad. It is a bit generic. I don't think the graphics are all that great. It is a very challenging game. The grenades and weapons... they've all been done before in a variety of games.

But it really isn't a bad game at all. I have had moderate fun with it and I plan on following through finishing it.

Motorstorm... on the other hand... got good ratings, and the game really isn't bad. I just get ticked at the driving style... and for some reason, I can't seem to do real well in the game :lol

Motorstorm is evil, no matter how far you get, they will always gain on you.

Resistance is really getting on my nerves, it's like the strongest looking weapons, don't do jack squat it seems. If you miss, the enemy just gets right back up or tries a melee attack.
