Playstation $500 for the cheapest model

Hmmm...a tough one.

$500 (no idea what that is in UK) for a console with very few games, hardly any of them good no doubt. Or wait till it drops in price and actually has more decent games a couple of years down the line.

I'll never get why people rush in to buy consoles straight away when they cost this much.

Well, there's usually a few good games the first year. Plus it's all flashy and new.

I'm guessing that has to do with the connections in the back. Either the $500 model won't have the HDMI ports for high def tv's or it will only have 1 and not the 2 like they showed in the demonstration at their press conference.

So....you're saying the Playstation 3 will have no good games at launch. What are you expecting with the Wii? Red Steel?!!? :lol
 
Come on you Nintendo Fanboys/girls are ripping Sony a new one. Give them a break,they are haveing a hard enough time as is trying to appease everyone. Not to mention they get constant bashing from M$ and Nintendo.
 
This whole scheme sounds ify to me.....Really why would you spend so much on a PS3 when you could have a 360,and a Wii for less?Sony will have to drop the price,or they will not retain their number one spot for long.

The obvious reason is becuase neither the 360 nor the Wii provide the games that one wants to play. I mean, why buy a $30,000 vehicle when a $500 bike will get you from point A to point B?

I'd like for you to point out where exactly I said I would get the Wii on launch. I actually said I find it pointless to get ANY console on launch because these days they're insanely priced and come with limited games. I'm going to wait until some good RPG's are out for PS3 (the main reason I buy sony consoles - it's an RPG heaven) AND until it drops in price.

And why knock Red Steel? You know nothing about it yet.
 
you know nothing worth talking about until you play it...unless you let other people decide how you feel...The PS3 better have something huge to make it worth that kind of cash...extra features like Blueray etc etc do not cut it for me.Its all about the games!

I agree. I don't see the $500 version doing anything remotely close to as good as the $600. That's why I'm getting the $600 one. Although I've said I'd get systems on launch date...after E3, I don't think so. I'm gonna wait for every system to go down in price. I know my uncle's getting a PS3 on launch date, so I'll just play his. :lol

The first out of the three that I will probably own first though will be the Wii.
