I figured we needed a new poll, and so here it is.  What do you prefer in your console games, inverted (up is down, down is up) or default (up is up, down is down)?

Personally, I'm inverted all the way.  I just can't stand default, and can't play games with it that way.

actually.... I prefer a mouse and keyboard for games that require inverts on a console controller :lol

BUT if I have to choose... Inverted.
but it really does dependon the game as.... many games don't have this option.... typically only FPS games do (or games you view a 3d world in the 1st person.... not necessarily a shooter.)

I always have the PC where I move the mouse away from me to look up, and towards me to look down.

Consoles, as I said, I have up as down and down as up. For 3rd person games, I have the camera so left moves clockwise around the character, and right moves counterclockwise (had to invert from default in a few games). I'm such a backwards person :p

anyone who can explain what they mean by Inverted or Default.

but my guess is it has to do with controllers

i just don't want to vote for wrong thing

It's for when you have to use both analog sticks in a console game. Default is where you push the right analog stick forward to look up, and backward to look down. Inverted is where you push the right analog stick forward to look down, while you pull backwards to look up.

Yeah, I like default for FPS and inverted for flying games.
person with taste. i get sick of games where it's inverted. when i want to look up, i'll push the stick up or hold up in an fps.
stupid goldeneye plagued the industry and people with that inverted garbage.
and there should always be an option in games to change it either way, whether it's just for doing camera angles in non-fps games as well

Tied now

It's default for me, which is strange because I used to play with nothing BUT inverted. I have no idea when and why I changed, but now I can play with nothing else.
