Ironic, we were offered a job like that back in 2003 when we finished ITT Tech. Only difference, we were offered to stay at the oil rig for 3 weeks in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Promised 1 week to return back home. However, the only downside is sometimes that week isn't guaranteed. :( The pay was very similar to Strubes' as well. I think it was the fact that it wasn't real assuring when I first heard it back then. As for you, congrats man and I hope it goes well. :)

Picked up Vice City today. Its brand new, short of being shrink wrapped. No scratches on the disc or the casing, no marks, folds or tears in the manual. I dont think I've ever bought a used game in this condition before. I got an orthodontist appointment in a few minutes though, hopefully today's the day I'll get these wretched braces off.

darn i wanted to play it :-\. If you watch gameplay you would understand the praise going towards it the art style is eerily beautiful and i think another plus towards it is that it doesn't have a soundtrack it just has this faint blowing sound that coupled with seeing a young boy just suddenly going limp from getting his head chopped off by a trap is just plain creepie.

EDIT: Does any one know what Ecchi is?

if it is the same thing i think you are referring to then it basically means panty-shot anime

Thanks guys...yeah it's a hard job from what I hear...but I'll cope with it and come out more experienced at least. It'll definitely take a while to get used to.

Was browsing a pawn shop for a new ladder to work with today, and I came across a mint condition copy of resident evil outbreak for $5. Picked it up because I've been wanting to try the RE series for a while. Is this a good game to start with, or do I need to play some of the others before I play it?

It's not a good game to start with as far as story goes, but is a decent entry in gameplay. Only one storyline is semi-canon. How have you not played any of the series?

If you want to play the RE series, get the RE Remake for the Wii. That should get you started right.

Nope, never played one. Always wanted to give it a shot though.
You mean RE Archives: Resident Evil?

And also, ZOMG Creepin just recommended a Wii title. :o :lol

I finally watched Super Size Me. I will never again darken the doorway of a McDonald's, and seriously reconsider eating at fast food restaurants. Right now I usually only eat at these places two or three times a month. I should reduce that to zero!

I think I ate Mcdonalds the day after I watched it {serious}. The contents of the film were no surprise to me, and shouldn't be to anybody else. It's not gonna stop me from enjoying fast food once in a while. Moderation is key to everything.

Ive never seen it because i already know fast food is bad for you in large quantities i rarely have it though because i don't see the point when you can make a perfectly healthy lunch or dinner at home unless your extremely tight for time i just don't see the reason why people should have fast food as much as they do it's just plain ridiculous to hear how often some people have fast food.

Because it's cheap, you dont have to make it yourself, and if you're like me, you'd rather not go home when you're out and it comes time to eat.

The movie was made to make McDonald's look bad from the get go. After 30 mins of watching, I was like "Okay I get it." and changed the channel. Just like Bowling for Columbine. (Which I hate Micheal Moore to death for being such a retard, by pointing out everything that has nothing to do with how or why kids go insane at school. )

As long as you don't eat the burgers there, you're good. I don't cause I gave up red meat in general. Not all stores are the same either, mind you. We have employees from other stores come to ours and ask us how we keep it clean, and it's dirty to us cause we haven't had the chance to clean.
