so i decided to do something a bit weird and hook up my TV with my laptop to make it a second monitor, it is amazing how i can now multitask and get many things done thanks to the fact that I can spread out my windows. and it is nice to be able to play dungeon fighter online and talk with friends at the same time

Not trying to burst your bubble, but dual monitor setups have been the norm for a few years now. :D

I will forever be a dual monitor PC user. My home theater PC is hooked straight to my TV and that is how I record my shows.

oh I know but it wasn't until recently that I got a TV good enough to connect with my laptop and small enough that I can carry it around

yeah, its inconvenient to have to start a fire whenever you want a warm meal, and not having a fridge or warm, runnign water, but we
re all alright, making what we've got work.

We should all road trip down there to keep ya'll company!
dude, for a while I seriously thought I was gonna go insane... I don't do well alone. The first few days I felt so isolated, took a serious toll on me. When my dad got back from work, I had access to his 4g, that helped a lot. But those first 3 or 4 days, i was starting to fall apart.

Holy crap dude. Glad you're okay.
thanks man. Power is back on not too far from here, ive been going over to some of my friends places, now that the roads are cleared, getting showers and whatnot. I got a 4200Watt generator, powers 3 PCs, fridge, and lamps throughout the house. I'm more than happy with it.

Yea man that sounds pretty yucky. If you're like me you have more online friends than real ones, so being cut off like that is horrible!...Really glad to hear things are coming around though :) Keep us posted.

thing is, i couldnt get into contact with my friends irl. Phone and internet service was out, and the roads were blocked the first few days with trees. Big trees. Pine trees like this one.

That's some scary sh*t right there! I know you're probably sick of hearing this but I am gonna say it anyways...At least you are alive to tell the tale! All your friends and fam ok too?

everyone i know is alright, as far as I know. A couple of my friends lost their homes, but they're okay, and they're insured, so it'll be alright.
It was the scariest thing. We rode the storm out, i felt my house move, saw the funnel. saw it rip chain link fence out of the ground, and suck water out of our pool. Still somewhat shaky, when i think about it.

Oh bro that's crazy! Probably felt like you were in a movie...but it was all really happening. I've had some close calls with tornadoes, but nothing remotely like that. And I imagine you might be shaky for a while after such an incident. Just know we're all here whenever you need/want to talk!

had an exciting week last week! vacation was awesome! went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City Michigan and played Magiquest with this cool wand. you go around the hotel waving it at stuff and its really fun :) i ahve the 9th place record for gold of the year thus far!
