Ico and Shadow of the cOllosus both did an excellent job at providing a sense of being alone in a huge place and ICO felt so big like really huge and vast rooms etc, and I do not recall any other games ever getting those feelings right...like I mean they had em down at, so much so that playing ICO made me feel kinda dreary and loenly lol

Yeah, I think that factor added a lot to the whole "Adventure" feel of the game. A lot of the time it was fun to just explore the game. Moreso in SotC than ICO, I think. SotC was so massive, there were places that you never have to visit to get through the story, and even those locations were amazingly detailed.
To me, SotC is as much a work of art as it is a game.

I definately agree about it being a work of art. Its almost like someone decided to make art and then thought up how cool it would be if others could walk around in the art and see and feel the same things the artist was feeling.

Were those the only two games they made?

I never got a chance to check it out. It was at the top of my "Next Purchases" list before I moved in with my grampa. I think I may walk down to Play N Trade later today and see if I can try it out for a while...

I used to spend a lot of time in that store. It's within walking distance from here, they have TVs and consoles up and down the walls of the store, they let you play any game before you buy it. It's pretty cool. And of course, if it totally sucks, you can just not buy it. A really cool concept I wish more stores did, instead of just having demos of 2-4 games.

About freaking time I got a new guitar. List price? $130. I haggled. Got it new for $75 :D

@thrav... nice. Do u know how to play then? My husband wants to learn how to play drums and has drums, but he got the rockband 3 guitar that u can actually learn to play on cuz he kinda wanted to play that too, but he does not know how to tune it, so he is kinda stuck :s

@Mario... not much. In a couple weeks I am leaving Manitoba to go visit my kids in Wisconsin (since they spend school year with their dad). THey want me to copme for Halloween, and I love Halloween, but my husband can't get that off, so we are going for Canadaian thanksgiving which is in October.

It's been raining last night and this morning someone at the condo net door had their car alarm going off for a really long time which was loud when I am trying to sleep.

And last night I went to the in laws place for supper and we brought dessert and they seemed really happy to have u over.

And, hmm, guess that is all at the moment.

Oh, ya, an also I did not think it through and decided to make a sig, which made my kirby go away...so now I have no face. :O

And I made my sig be Dilly Dally Shilly Shally, but now I also feel like having it say "it can't rain all the time" too

Get a tuner. I don't think they cost too much. The guy who's teaching me tuned mine, so idk. I can play 1 song... and I usually can't get through it without messing up at some point lol. But I'm learning. And it'll be a lot easier now that I have a real guitar.
I was going to get an electric guitar... I was so looking forward to Rocksmith... but, I don't even have a PS3 anymore, so that preorder is useless.
The band I'm "in" (I'm technically their electric guitarist, but my guitar is usually muted or very low. They needed an electric guitarist bad, the vocalist/acoustic guitarist offered to teach for free if I'd be in the band once I learned. Win-Win situation. :D) has a drummer, he's a couple years older than me. He tried to show me how to play a little last night and it confused me to no end. And ontop of that, I know I'm not coordinated enough to drum lol. I"m picking up on guitar really fast though, so maybe I'll be able to play decently soon. :)

WEll, it's cool that u arelearning. He has a tuner, but doesn't seem to help much. :/

It's really cool tho how in Rockband 3 you can have a guitar they made for it where u actually are learning to really play the songs and where u canplay the guitar without the game too. I think the guitar was like 300 bucks er something tho that he got. I can't recall but I feel like it was a lot. It was hurting his fingers a lot when he tried it tho becuz he is unused to playing a guitar, so I guess he has to toughen his fingers up a bit.My dad and mom can both play some simple stuff on guitar. My dad used to play Elvis songs and sing them to me when I was a kid :)

Yeah, when I started, the guy I'm taking lessons from told me not to even worry about strumming. He taught me G, C2, D, and Em, and had me practice different chord progressions until I got calluses on my fingers. Then we started practicing rhythm with those chord progressions. Pretty simple stuff, just takes some time to get used to.
I almost bought that RB3 guitar way back when, but then E3 came along and I saw this

And I was like "Forget RB3... I'm waiting for Rocksmith!" Mainly because it would end up being cheaper. There's a Rocksmith bundle that comes with a beginner guitar and the game for $200. But, whatever. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.

I'd probably screw it up lol
And these strings are a lot better... My old ones were really worn and actually rusty besides the places I played a lot. I'm just gonna have to get used to them again. Same thing happened when I started using Todd's (My teacher/band vocalist/acoustic guitarist) electric guitar.
I swear, though, this is going to make me bleed if I play much more lol

Is the band u r working with a part of your church or just some friends? I went to this one lil church that had a really good band, mostly made up from the teens of that church and it was the main thing kinda of that church, ut they needed a bigger building er something tho, cuz it was super loud but u were really close in a lil building so it was sorta too loud, but that was the best church I have been to (except when they started prophecying what one guys son in law better do for a living, then that part kinda got weird lol)
