Ya, I "liked" the gameaddicts page on facebook long ago, but it does not even seem to tell who is on it and u can't like talk to ppl there the same way as here.

Oh, ya, in other news, I called the internet provider yesterday cuz my internet has been cutting out a lot, and they are supposed to be coming to fix it today. I think I need a new splitter. I am sick of it stopping in the middle of a big fight in DDO online etc. lol

I have been using a dinky Hong Kong Special for my outdoor TV antenna for the last few years. Today I put up a big antenna. A Denny's Double Decker with a Winegard 8275 preamp and rotor. I scanned for channels. I have the antenna pointed at the closest city with broadcast towers. Out of the over 20 channels that I am picking up, 8 of those are High Definition Channels. WOOT! My HDTV is in Heaven! Digital Free TV is so totally awesome! :D I don't have any premium channels that you get with pay TV but I am satisfied with what I have got. :)

Pinching Pennies has never been so much fun. ;)

edit: Watching Nascar Sprint Cup right now.

I like keeping up with local news and weather. I like watching old movies. Sometimes I like archiving a TV series like Fringe. Been recording it to DVD. And looks like I might be watching some NASCAR since it looks so good in HD. :)

I use Linux on all my home computers. I have used SuSE for the last ten years and the same version since 2005. It is time to update to a newer version. I am presently looking at my options by trying out different versions of Linux. I am looking at "OpenSUSE 12.1," and "Legacy OS 2." I am also looking at the possibility of running an old 2007 Linux version of Xandros 4.5 OCE with accessing my Internet through Puppy Linux. Or I could do the same thing with OpenSUSE. My problem is that I am still using dial-up and most stuff is presently being geared toward fast net service.

It is fun configuring your computer and trying out stuff like this. Sort of like trying on new clothes. :lol

Perhaps we need an EGA group on facebook.

I wish we had one of those...I thought we used to?

I don't even watch Tv anymore. I usually watch Youtube or listen to music while gaming.

I don't watch tv at all either. If I want to watch a show I watch it online after it comes out, or I watch other shows on youtube. Mostly I just rent movies from the library, play video games, or watch episodses of Teen Titans online recently. I do watch Grimm and the U.S. version of Being HUman, and Big Bang Theory every time they come out...but I watch them later on that night online. Then I don't have to worry about being home when stuff comes on or recording stuff or anything. I can just watch it as I like without commerials

Linux. I have been thinking about using it for a while. What is it like for you?

I don't need a lot when it comes to a computer. I only surf the net, email, eBay, shop, blog some, Facebook the family, edit photos occationally, do documents, maybe some excel type stuff sometimes and have done a website. So Linux is great for me. I've been a Linux only user for around 10 years or more. I built my rig around Linux. Nut that does not mean every Linux distrobution will run on it. Have no idea why.

If you want to game or watch movies, media type stuff then you run into the codecs and "every game is built for windows" problems.

The only time that I use windows is on my job. The servers at work are running linux. I was just so frustrated doing anything back when I was using windows at home. All that is behind me now. I am a happy and fun Linux user. :)

Sorry for the late reply. I had my computer tied up trying out different Linux distros until I settle on one.
