Now that would have been better than HDTV! Except for the heat part. I did enjoy my air and leaning back in the chair.
 
Oops! Didn't mean to double post. But you know ::) ...........anyway,

It looks like I will be getting Broadband Internet service at the end of the month and saying good bye to dial-up!
I am juggling a few things and money. Dropping my land-line & dial-up and signing up for Broadband which will save me $22 dollars plus a month. It is the kind of budget cuts that don't hurt. :lol I plan on using Nettalk Duo for my home phone which is a VoIP phone service.

The excitement builds! ;D
 
Very happy for you Retro. I remember going to broadband about 10 years ago and never went back. I hope you don't have a bandwidth cap. Those suck, especially if you enjoy streaming video.
 
I see nothing in writing that there is a cap. I'm going to have 6 Meg download speed and 1 Meg upload speed. I also get the mobile access which is over the whole town. I can pick that up on my Wii, DSi XL, and PSP now. Just can't get in. And that is sitting on my couch. All for only $29.95 a month. NO equipment rental fees, NO extra charge for multiple computers, NO continually rising prices. It is provided by the local Electric Company. It will be close to the end of this month. I have my router on the way. I just got my VoIP box this week for the phone service. My Daughter has ordered a webcam for Skype. We have been looking over Hulu and making a list. I really want to see Lost in Space. I remember that campy Scyfi when I was a kid. 8)
 
I use to excel in math with Algebra being my specialty. Even loved balancing chemical equations. Not any more. Over the years I have grown very rusty. I seem to have improved greatly in reading comprehension, which I used to be very bad at. Strange things as you grow older.

This is so weird. I am accessing the forum using my Kindle. I am talking about the cheap black & white one. I have to move the cursor with a directioal button. Having mobile access is cool. It is my first time so bare with me. I am a kid in a candy store.
 
I have a mini netbook 7"screen in the mail. Should be here this next week. I do have a DSi, but I am not sure I want to hook it up. I do have a wifi adapter and have had my desktop on mobile. I will be glad when the 29th gets here. I will then be officially be on broadband.
I have already signed up for it. The 29th is the earliest that I could get the appointment for the hardware delivery. They went ahead and gave me the mobile access early.
 
whoa i havnt been on the forum in like forever. guess ive been busy with school and the move to canada and everything.
 
The Wii U is not going to be $100. :)

I am still very confused about the Wii U. I do know that it is going to be HD. My confusion is, "Is it a new system or a controller?" At first I thought it was an add-on to the Wii. Now I am not sure. I became even more confused about it after I watched the Nintendo Press Conference at E3. One thing that I am not confused about is that you are going to pay for that type of technology.
