My buddy showed me this band here, Animals as Leaders.

I have no way to describe this other than some kind of groovy jazzy instrumental metal if that makes sense...
But they are awesome with their instruments. And 8 string guitar, 6 string guitar and one hell of a drummer.

Their earlier stuff includes some crazy bass stuff too

my phone fell out of my pocket on my lunch bag as I was walking to work today and the screen shattered into a million pieces. :/ Then I had a crappy day at work, and also tons of other stuff fell on the floor right after I got to work (none of it broke tho) and I also had a fever off and on all day. Boo boo boo. I am going to get Perogie Pizza from Boston Pizza and watch Ink Masters and Snuggle with my husband and watch Big Bang Theory too. It is cold and rainy out and my husband has been working in it all day and he still is not home yet. Doubt he has had any better of a day then I have had. I usually don't have this bad of a day. I am mostly upset about my phone. Now all the money I earn has to go towards replacing it. :/

Ok, this is going to prolly sound super dumb.. but how do u know if u are using a smart phone? What is it? My phone that shattered was a Nokia, but I am unsure of the model number, it functioned as a phone and had a touch screen and u could web browse and it had alarm clock and map and radio stuff and photo taking stuff and u could download and play games etc. Was it a smart phone? er do certain brands only count er what? anyhow, I am super sad that it broke. My husband is going to try let me use an old cell phone he has...which is better then nothin. I think he currently has an iphone 4 but used the old phone as a backup in case his battery went dead when working out doors for long periods of time in cold while listening to music on it all day..but thephone he is setting me up with just makes phone calls and texts. But it is better then nothing. I think my husband mainly uses his iphone to play video games and listen to music :)

Halo 4 is coming out Nov. 6!!

I actually was kind of iffy about it, but the fact that Cortana's rampancy is finally being addressed is a huge huge deal for me because I love Halo lore that is mostly from the books. If you haven't already, watch some of the trailers, and check out the Forward Unto Dawn miniseries (you can probably find it on Youtube).

The Halo fangirl in me is just like :woot

Yeah I know how you feel. I really only like the main story though with John. I thought ODST was meh and Reach was really boring. Just my thing though.

Bah now I wanna go play anniversary for some reason. XD

If it has iOS or Android installed on it, then it is a smartphone. At least thats How I look at it.

Well that sucks.

I went to a funeral yesterday for someone I knew in high school who died. He was only 21...

A new cool game, though still unreleased

I'm new here and I am not sure where to post this, but here it goes.
I was wondering if anybody has heard about EVOLUTION INDIAN HUNTER.
It's this new game which is supposed to be really cool, apparenly multi-platform.
It was designed by some germans. I was able to find a website here, though I am not sure if it is the game's main page.

I am very passionate about Native American cultures, and this game is supposed to involve going through some challenges which involve hunting and living in the wild, in a very faithful replica of what the US must have been before the discovery.
The descriptions mention Sioux and Lakota, which sounds pretty exciting to my ears.
If anyone knows more about the game, please do let me know.
Gaming with a bit of learning is a dealmaker for me, so, I am pretty excited.
Looking forward to meeting you all,
V

Very mixed feelings about it. I'll either love it or hate it with a passion.

In other news, bought a used 360, and it had a lot of music on it. I'm really getting into Avenged Sevenfold and Coheed & Cambria

Just got my Kindle Fire yesterday afternoon. It was waiting for me when I came home from work. My main use of it will be for being on the net and maybe some gaming. My first impression is that I am going to love this thing. Very satisfied so far. Fast and responsive. Plays Asphalt 7 like a gaming system. I went a Kindle because I already have a Kindle account.
I'm using it right now.

I must ask, Why kindle instead of Android tablet/iPad?

Really I don't know what the negativity is about when it comes to the Kindle. These are nice little tablets for $159. I considered a Nexus 7 but being that I already had a Kindle account, and all I wanted to do with it was surf the net, email, do forums, facebook, and maybe do blogging, it fit the profile. The ipad is just more tablet than what I wanted. I have discovered that I can play games with no problem and watch video with no problem, added plus. There are plenty of apps, more than I would ever want. All of the music and books that I have purchased from Amazon was right there out of the box when I turned my Fire on. My price range was $199 in what I was looking for and I did a lot of research, considered a lot of options. The only thing that I saw, for me, the advantage that the Nexus had was the open Android market. The present Kindle Fire is Android 4, but it is geared toward Amazon Market and not the Android Market.
To me the Kindle Fire just made more since for what I wanted.

I see I see, I was just wondering cause I'm in the market for one.

I just remember hearing they were kinda slow and clunky when they came out.

They have updated the hardware. They now have a 1.2ghz processor and 1gig of ram. I never experienced one of the 1st generation models. My only experience has been with the b/w Kindles. The Kindle Fire has only 8gig of memory with only like 5.59gig available for use. The system is heavy dependent on their cloud storage service. But Nexus only has 8gig of memory too. The Nook is expandable with SD cards. Those three are basically the three final tablets that I considered. Each has their own negatives and positives. Depends on what you are willing to live with.

I have not experienced any slow or clunkiness. I am very satisfied with what I have. The only downside is if I see an app out there and it is not in the Amazon Market then it is crying time.

edit: The Kindle is tied to Amazon. The Nook is tied to Barns & Noble. The Nexus 7 16 gig model would have been my first choice had it not been for my Amazon connection.
