PS2 Help...

I must be the only person who has never had a problem with a PS2. My last unit was played vertically with a stand for over 2 years, and I never had a single problem. I even tried modding a "Plus" model PS2, but reconsidered after stripping the unit to parts. I crammed everything back in the case, and after fixing an improperly connected ribbon cable, it worked like a charm. I must be lucky.

how old is your Ps2, sman?
IE under warranty?
If not... you might want to consider how much it will cost to replace the drive....
which will probably be enough to make you want to buy a new ps2.
I am not sure of fixes for drives that won't spin the disc... normally that means they are shot.
Does anyone know........ if the Ps2 has a spindle that can be jammed down somehow? I know the NEo CD spindle could be jammed down on accident... but could be pulled up to make it work again....
Most like you have a dead drive though.
