PS3 bashing public service announcement

I think the issue here isn't what you're saying about the PS3, but how much you're saying it. I personally love a console debate, but when it's the same points being dragged through the mud time and time and time again, it's time to give it a rest.

Let me reiterate my point.

Ok maybe, but you are criticizing it to death. I'm sick of it. Seriously. I'm a Nintendo fangirl sick of someone criticizing Sony. I mean that right there says it all.

Which is also why I don't buy your statement that people are criticizing the Wii. If they were really that bad I would have been on it a long time ago, since I'm a Nintendo fangirl. I have yet to see anyone bash the Wii to the point where I felt the need to make a post about it.

Yet for the PS3, a system I don't like, I am getting tired of the criticism. Some of the problems with the PS3, I agree with. What I don't agree with, and what I don't appreciate, is the fact that you guys keep bringing it up in EVERY post. Saying it once is fine. I don't have a problem with that. Say what you want ONCE, and then be done with it. But stop beating the dead horse. We all get your point.
 
I have an on again-off again relationship with my Wii. I bash it because I love it...i guess. It's how any healthy relationship works!
 
I wonder how many people who bash the PS3 have actually played the system...

In all honesty, once you play Resistance: Fall of Man on a decently sized HDTV with a 2.1 sound system, you will understand the ridiculous amount of potential that system has.
 
There are a lot of valid reasons to criticize any console. But there comes a point where a critical view of something becomes almost like a political campaign. It becomes boring, it can be insulting and even pointless.

As for the "evidence" that the critics of the PS3 have, it's all useless. Lack of games? Just wait. Massive price tag? Get a job. Blu-Ray? It seems to be stomping HD.

On the Wii. Games right now seem shallow. Duh. It's to get people used to the controls. The controls are gimmicky. Duh. Every controller design is the direct result of a gimmick. Analog, anyone? Yeah. But it's funny. The Wii is a gimmick, and the PS3's Sixaxis is not. But whatever.

The 360. It burns up? Get the cooling fan. Not all your favorite Xbox games work on it? You should have kept your older Xbox.

Mai is right. Honestly, I could prune up the "PS3, thoughts so far" topic and come up with about two pages of relavant debate because it has turned into fanboy troll trash.

@Jack, I doubt that this topic has your name written all over it. It has everyone's name on it. Because we are all guilty of getting caught up in the mess.

That's what I mean. Seriously, if any of the mods were to go into that topic and edit out all the pointless PS3 sucks stuff, how short would that topic be? Beyond a few posts, there wasn't that much intelligent thought put into what people said. People just kept repeating the same stuff over and over.
 
Heck I even think the criticism has gone on way to long and I doubt you could find anyone out their more convinced it's overrated, overpriced piece junk or is more against blu-ray but that doesn't really matter at this point this thread has gone way to long and people need to move on.

*pets mine* who's a good girl!? WHO'S A GOOD GIRL!? Yes you are! ^_^ My PS3 is one sexy beast. Now that she behaves (i.e. Backwards compatible issues on the 80GB, thanks to the recent update patch v. 2.10) I, now have a system worth bragging about. Which reminds me, I need Uncharted! Dang it!

P.S. Every system is a lady, a sweet lady, you need to treat her right, and she'll reward you greatly.

those are very different games....is like comparing metroid with halo, seriously hines play the game before you judge it or in this case compare it

Nah, not people. Just ignorant ideas. You really gotta play it to experience it. The only commonplace Uncharted and Gears has is the duck and cover system...which didn't even start with Gears. :lol
 
Yeah, Uncharted looks more like Tomb Raider than Gears of War, and last I checked Tomb Raider is a completely different game...

Looks interesting to say the least.
