Ps3 crashed at Wal Mart.. a shocking news story.

The Sony rep told me that it's actually the Motorstorm demo that makes it crash. Some bad coding or something. They intend to fix it with the next demo.

Of course that could just be a cover-up, but it is a possibility.
 
My Wii freezes a lot when I'm using channels that require a Broadband Connection. Even froze before starting up Zelda once.

So, no system is perfect. Not even the all-mighty Nintendo.

It's a very strong possibility. 99% of the time it is.

It seems that most of the PS3's that crash are because of overheating. That still doesn't make it the PS3's fault as any system will stall without enough ventilation. Some more than others.
 
Yeah, since most demo units are locked inside of those cases overheating is probably a big problem.

My Best Buy still doesn't have a playable Wii system, even though it has a working Wii in a case. It just plays a video talking about the Wii.
 
this could be a problem with your console. mine freezes every great while in the internet channel, but i think thats only because of a momentary connection loss.

Yeah, I agree; any system/electronic item will overheat if not in a well ventilated area. That is just common sense.
 
My fairly new 360 has crashed on me a few times, sometimes the game just screws up and the audio screws up or goes wierd. I haven't had it for very long. I hate to sound anti-Xbox but... AHHHHHH! It always happens when I'm playing important bits on games!!!!

I had that happen on one of my 360's and I just returned it to Target and they swapped it out for me.

so are we saying this is sonys fault for not equiping the demo stations with enough ventilation space?

No, that is common sense with an electronic item.  They are not meant to be in an enclosed area.  I have seen all systems crashed as demos.  Because you cannot afford a system, do not put it down.

I have never been a Sony fan, but this is one sweet system and I have had no issues with either of mine.  I hate to say it, but I have had more issues with my 360 and GBA Micros and DS Systems then my PS3's.
 
i didnt put it down...i was putting down sony for not properly ventilating their demo stations. jeez, read my posts.

and i can afford one, i choose not to waste my money.

No, all your posts state that the PS3 is not worth and not good. You do not own one so you really cannot rate one. And at 15 you can afford one? You must get good allowance.
 
yes, my grandfather opened a bank account for me when i was born, which has $1700 in it currently, plus i have $230 on the side. if i wanted a playstation 3, i would have one.

You should just save that money anyway and not spend it on any gaming system. I will not let my kids spend their money until they are 18.
 
yes, i doubt my parents would let me spend it on a ps3, but still, the money is there.

but still, it wil be more difficult to get a student loan if i have that money in the bank, so i will have to withdraw it and spend it eventually.

im thinking laptop
