PS3 in March

I don't see that happening at all. Sony would never launch a console without at least a year of serious hype. They've never released a console without showing at least some lead time from E3. They reveal the new one at E3, it finally comes out about that Christmas season if we're lucky. Not to mention, there would be more news about Sony securing manufacturing plants for production of the new hardware.

Anyway, why would Sony rush to market now? The PS2 is still selling out in many areas. They have no reason to hurry at this point.

i hope that's not true. i don't have the money for that. i hope it's much later. the psp is going to drain me as is ~_~;;

All I see that it says is that it will be "unveiled." For a bit i thought perhaps the uninformed reporter was talking about the PSP...but then the last few lines shot that theory.

no need to release till the others do anyways. don't abandon a system still doing well like nintendo with the cute sp and bad ds

Um...Nintendo hasn't abandoned the SP. There's still games coming out for it for months to come, including some of Nintendo's flagship franchises, such as Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap in January, Wario Ware 2 in March (I believe), Pokemon Emerald, etc. And developers are still going to make games for the SP. Namco, for example, plans to release 12 games in 2005, which is about one game per month.

"bad ds"

Noooo, tha's so not true! Have you played one, have you tried the Metroid game?!? I dig it :D

yes i've played it, i borrow a friend's with metroid.
i just see a problem of them not focusing purely on one handheld.
like, aren't they releasing a new castlevania for the DS? while that's good in some respects, i personally only put so much money into handhelds. when they both release good things, i only buy for one. and i would think third party companies would go with a specific system than focus on two, and my beloved castlevania's :'(

I'm with you on that Moltar. No way am I buying a DS for a while. They should of just focused on the GBA for a couple more years.
