PS3 Price........

Yes, cause if there's people out there that'll pay thousands of dollars for a big tv, then why not pay half of that to be able to control games with awesome graphics.
 
Because Playstation is my fav system and I've held off buying a 360 to get the PS3 instead.

Fun game franchises, Blu-ray movie support. Those are the only reasons why I would get one. It won't be for a while though.
 
Me? Well, I haven't been interested in any games that even the Playstation 2 put out. I play that system the least (besides the fact that it's broken) and the only game I ever play for it when I do play it is Final Fantasy X.
 
I might buy...it all matters on if my GF loosens the leash a little bit haha JK actually it depends on how much tuition is going up next year strange huh? I'm going to school to be able to buy cool things later on, but it is actually stopping me from buying stuff :)
 
How can you not find something to play on the PS2 it has something for everybody :)
 
no i hate playstation in all its forms. i also hate sony. they anger me. the fact that i would have to pay that much for a videogame is horrible. im not even buying a next gen system for that reason alone.

But you can't really go by inflation because in twenty years the PS3's price will jump also, according to inflation.
 
Insane costs like this is why you wait a while for the prices to go down. Then when your get the system, you can get more games for it!

amen.and the PS2 launch titls weren't that great (excluding Kessen) so I'm defintely gonna wait.
 
With any luck, most of the good games that used to be exclusive to Sony systems will in this gen appear on the XBOX 360 or Nintendo Wii due to lower development costs and/or larger user bases. Did you know that Sony already lost exclusivity on Assassin's Creed and Mercenaries 2? The only reason I'll get a PS3 will be the numbered Final Fantasy games and Tales series games, and those aren't worth $600, so I'll wait until the system is more affordable.
