PS3...thoughts so far

Both of the PS3's problems, and the increasing sarcastic profiling against us.

EDIT: We're not flaming Cherry, you think that because we think differently. We never attacked him.

enough, jack, you say in your rules "no flaming" so stop flaming cherry. cherry is one of us, he doesnt wanna be insulted. i like cherry, i dont wanna fight with him

Why should I be nice to any of you? Many of you have to tried to get me banned in the past, one of you succeeded.

There's so many problems in that, Hines. First off, we don't care what other people(especially on the internet) think of us. Two, not smart alecs, sarcastic. Three, we're doing the exact same thing as Cherry(nothing bad, much less flaming, but the same thing none the less), and we're the victims. How's that work?

EDIT: You enjoyed finally using that, Jack.

No, they aren't. They're way different. For starters, neither of us are named Alec. And another, sarcasm is cooler than being a 'smart alec'.

It sucks, end of story. Sony knows it, go watch the PS3 sucks video and listen to the part where the rep says what they've done good with the PlayStation. Go look at the sales numbers. Go look at the size. Go look at its exclusive games(or lack of). Look at its coming releases. Look at the price. Look at GBA sales and compare those to the PS3.

Yeah and remind me where we used the C-stick to control.

If you want to get technical, any game that utilized the C-stick is the answer. The C-stick is a form of control, so using it in a game = controlling with it.

Now, I know what you mean, so in response there are many FPS games that used the C-stick to control, such as TimeSplitters 2. That hindered a fantastic game, IMO.

No. Its not okay for fhq to say the PS3 has no games, then completely ignore the Wii's lack of games, then give the excuse "Oh developers are getting games for the Wii." ITs a double standard.

I answered that in another thread though. IMO it's a valid response. No one, not even hardcore Nintendo fans, expected the Wii to do as well as it did. Therefore I am not surprised by the current lack of games. The Wii was a complete underdog so no one thought to make games for it before it came out. They are all scrambling to make games now, which accounts for the delay. Even Nintendo, the company that made the system, doesn't have its big games ready. If Nintendo couldn't get SSBM or Metroid out until this fall given that they made the system, why are people expecting THIRD PARTIES to have AAA games ready this fall? Honestly, I've already settled for the fact that the best Wii games this fall will be Nintendo's, but the awesome third party games will come next year. I can live with that.

When did I flame you guys?

@Hines: Don't worry about it. I don't think there really flaming me so I wouldn't worry about it. We just have differences of opinions, but we're all cool. :)

Yeah, I know you already said that Mai, but that ended up coming up again in this thread so I restated it. I do agree with what you are saying here though. It may partly be Nintendo's fault though because they didn't get enough development kits out. Either that, or the devs just didn't want em...

That's what I was saying, there was never flaming on either side.

The PS2 controller was the most comfortable to me...this is goin back a couple pages. The PS2 controller doesn't rumble....oh wow. I feel like I'm totally in the game when it rumbles. :lol not. Also, I'll be using the Blu Ray player alot. That's another reason the PS3 attracted me. I love RPG's and I know the PS3 won't let down in the long run. Also they have a great line-up of games coming out. I only see SSBB and Metroid for the Wii...I don't know of any others, unless they do something original. Instead of bashing the Wii though, I did have alot of fun. I played the Cube games on it cause the Wii Wand got a lil boring to me and gimmicky. I did have fun with the Virtual Console games and transferring photos n such onto it. That's about it.

@fhq, you say look at the upcoming games. If you have, then you'd know why I'm buying it. :lol.
Too me, the PS3's upcoming games and promise of future games past the ones we know is what's drawing me to it.

I'm getting a PS3. Deal with it. ;)

I thought about getting a PS3 in the near future, but I'm saving up for a killer gaming PC for when I go off to college instead. The PS3 will get on its feet soon enough.

Yeah it will. I barely use my computer, only for this site and a few other things, or I'd do that.

Definitely picking up Ninja Gaiden Sigma since I didn't play the original version on the xbox.

Trust me, I can't really care much less that you're wasting your time and money on the PS3. Promise of games, huh? Like its lost exclusives, or a great(not PS3, though) example, Spore. Delayed and delayed. Doesn't matter how good it is now, it might never see the light of day. PS3 being crap to develop for and its bad sales prohibiting high numbers of software sold isn't helping.
