PS3...thoughts so far

All systems start off with bad games...The 360's beginning library wasn't anything to be impressed about, and the Wii's library was just as bad, if not worse than the PS3's. Idk, after E3, I know this:

PS3 has a bunch of great games coming out within the next year.

360 is gonna have an amazing holiday season.

Wii has ....WiiFit? I guess Nintendo's going towards a more wide audience...like the yoga enthusiasts. :lol



I actually just got my PS3 today, along with Rainbow Six Vegas and Ninja Gaiden.

I'm really happy so far, but Ninja Gaiden is kicking my butt. :lol
 
WiiFit will somehow manage to sell. Though they took my idea of how next gen, Nintendo should have a foot thing, too. Imagine the next SSX or Tony Hawk game now.
 
The next Tony Hawk will be fun and stuff, but you can only use it for so much. I don't want the Wii to only be known for it's Tony Hawk or Surfing games.
 
First off, SSX, snowboarding. Second, ingame movements of hands and feet is bad...how? Wii isn't known for anything, besides its originality.
 
But how far can originality go? We'll save this for a Wii topic though.

The PS3's free online service is making me happy at the moment. I only wish they would allow for cross-platform online gaming. That would be awesome. Being able to play Rainbow Six Vegas on the PS3 against 360 owners. Kinda like what the 360 is doing with Vista.
 
A lot of great games for the PS3 are on the 360 in a year anyways, and that really isn't gonna help PS3 sales either.
 
Yeah, which is good cause I have both, so I get to have my pick of which system to get it for. It's good in case one has online and the other doesn't and such (I.E. Virtua Fighter 5). The PS3 does have an impressive lineup of exclusives (to me at least), including Lair, MGS4, Killzone 2, and Ratchet and Clank.
 
Unreal Tournament 3 is PS3 now, 360 next year, right? That's also what the Wii suffers from. The that far behind graphics now kill a lot of good games for it, but it has its own to make up, I guess.
 
Hmm, I haven't been following Unreal 3 alot. Are they going to the 360 next year? That'll be a fun game. It looks really good.

I'm really excited for Ratchet and Clank however. I guess you had to play the PS2 ones to really know what's all going on, but I loved those too. They were fun games, that weren't too serious, yet showed off some impressive weaponry and humor.
 
I think it is. Ratchet and Clank, yeah, they need to fix the replay value, big time.
 
For me it had replay value just so I could do everything that could be done (collecting everything) and upgrading the weapons to full capacity. I think they're spending more time with the multiplayer aspect so hopefully that'll add playability at least on a multiplayer level.
 
Upgrading and finding was never very hard, though, with the fill in map and the overkill of experience, especially since it's a short game, and you can max everything out by C1.
 
Yeah, this one looks real good though....with much larger environments and online multiplayer which will hopefully be pretty cool.
 
Yeah, I hope they have new things going on than just weapons. We can already see the Grind Boots, how about a new version of those to do some new stuff?
 
That'd be nice...maybe some water-walking boots or something would be cool.

Lair looks like it could be really good, but I don't see too much of a difference in environment through all of the footage I've seen...I hope you get a lil break or two in from the fighting to get a little story out of it.
 
I doubt it. Maybe some crap story about some coming extinction of the dragons or something after each boss fight thing, and some stuff at the beginnning, but it seems more 'look at me' than 'listen to me'.
 
I want to see how Heavenly Sword is. I hope it ends up being a cool game. I like what I've seen so far.

People call it God of War with a chick, but IMO that's not that bad; God of War is an awesome game. :)
