July 13, 2004 - Phantasy Star Online fans have another reason to be happy. The previously Japan-only upgrade to the series, PSO Episode 1&II Plus is coming to the US. Better yet, the title may arrive at a bargain price of $29.99 this August.

PSO Episode 1&II Plus features the first two online-ready GameCube titles as well as expansions like new quests, weapons, items, and immediately unlocked mini-games. Players can explore the expansive worlds in the game on their own in an offline single-player mode or online with up to three friends.

See... this is why I like the Cube version. play on OR offline... even split screen with your buddies.

All I have to say is.. I'm there :D

so far I believe :)
they might release it for the Box... not sure yet.... and I haven't heard anything on it.

BUT... they might not as PSO on the Xbox is a heck of a lot more hacked open (part of the plus version is to kill dups and hacks)... and this should fix the Cube version. Also, I believe the cube one sold a lot more... they had a hard time keeping the game on shelves..... partially due to odd distribution.

Well, since we are talking PSO, has anyone else heard about the 2 new PSO games? I believe one is PC exclusive, and the other is console exclusive (PS2, GC, and Xbox). I'll post again when I find out more.
 
If you had read the article in the link I posted, Phantasy Star Universe and Phantasy Star Blue Burst are the new games. Universe is for all consoles, and Blue Burst is the PC version of Universe.
 
Sega needs to keep things platform specific though :)  meaning..... they need to make exclusives for systems. 

BTW... create a new thred  to talk about the other PSO games :lol :p

they probably aren't happy the PSO3 didn't sell well... but what do you expect with that kind of game?

According to Nintendo Power:

Sega's Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus is packed with bonus quests and stages previously available only to online subscribers. The value-priced GCN game includes the original PSO Episode I & II, three additional Episode II quests, five Challenge-mode stages for as many as four players, and two downloadable GBA minigames: Puyo Pop and NiGHTS---Score Attack. It's a phantasy come true.
 
so will there be any additional extras for the game that was not included in the other?

what I heard was that they fixed bugs... dups..etc.. as well with plus.
