PSO or Warp pipe Player names

Oh man, that is absolutely hilarious. If Nintendo thought online gaming was unprofitable, they've sure taken the right steps to ensure that it won't be on the GC. When you sign on to XBC there are literally hundreds of players playing thousands of games. When you go onto the Warp Pipe, no one else is even on! That is just sad...
partially because no other games are bba ready though. I was reading some docs... and many players (once more bba games are available) will be on asap.

Starfox bba will draw some crowds..

I did hear that if Metroid Prime 2, Animal crossing 2, and many other games would support the bba for online play.... they could have a seriously good turnout.

Its just because there are only 3 games to play and people are a little tired of that.

Plus... warp pipe are having some account issue problems right now :-\ I cannot log in to the forums... merge an account..etc.

Well that's my point. You look at what Microsoft did to online gaming, and its practically become a videogaming phenomena. Nintendo, on the other hand, has ensured that online gaming would not be a success on the GC by not making any online games.

If Nintendo wanted to win the console war or at least push ahead of Sony, they'd only have to make on game. Super Smah Brothers Online. It would crash the Warp Pipe instantly.

I know what you mean.

but hey... I am not disappointed. The only thing I play online is my PC... because it is convenient.. and I don't have to pay per year or month.

Trust me, if I could get more people here to send emails to Nintendo and various companies to make games broadband capable... you would see more things happening.

Unfortunately, most people just sit back and say "whocares" instead of trying to change situations. Companies listen... it just takes numbers.

Here's my problems with online gaming. 1: Cost...I don't feel like paying so much per month to play a game, I've already payed $50 for, online. 2: Jerks...you know they're out there...the people who just happen to lose their connection mere moments before you win whatever game your playing. I've had enough of that with the little online play experience I do have. So when sombody tells me "Oooh! That game has online play!" I reply with "So, your gonna pay out the nose to play that for a few hours a month then deal with idiots that can't lose like a man?"
I fear the day when online is required for console gaming.

thats exactly how I am.  I have 1 game I pay for.... Phantasy Start Online Ep 1/2 .... and Ep 3 (when I get it).

All my pc games, I can play for free.  I can play Halo Online for free (when I finally get Halo).
I don't play everquest or any of those other games that make you pay to playonline.
I won't pay to play a game online....

PC wise, I am a strategy game / First Person shooter player.
Although I do have the Diablo games... and a few other "RPG" style games.

The warp pipe will be awesome if we can score more BBA available games...and hey.... why shouldn't we try to get them?

I could get info on where to send your BBA requests... if you all would like to try to get more BBA available games...

interested?

Price is not an issue. Services like XBC and the Warp Pipe are alternatives for us cheapskates. So don't hide behind that arguement because hundreds of people are enjoying online games for free. As for jerks, I play enough multiplayer games with "jerks" offline that I'm used to it when it happens online. Plus, every once in awhile you run into a group of people just like you that are at your skill level and you have more fun playing videogames than you ever would with just your buddies.

doesn't give you an excuse to not fight for more bba games, no? :)

Its short for Xbox Connect. It's basically a service like Warp Pipe that lets you play LAN/Xbox Live enabled games over the internet for free. Except it came out way before the Warp Pipe, and its actually used by people.

More like it doesn't give me an excuse not to sell my GC and all its games and pick up an Xbox and Xbox Live.
