PSP Slim Slated for Release

Yes. Colours with a "u." Some specially designed PSPs will be available only within Sony Europe's territories when the 2000 models launch on September 5th. In "Simpsons Yellow" and "Spider-man Black and Red" flavours, these new designs are clearly geared towards movie-buffs but also make a more colourful alternative to the current selection of black, silver and white.

Americans will be able to choose from "Darth Vader White," black and silver -- if you really want a garish yellow PSP Slim, you can always import.

That's pretty cool. Even though we knew it was coming eventually when the DS Lite hit the shelves, it's still good. I mean, it's not bad to take after another system/handheld if it's doing well, right?

It wasn't official, nor did it have a name yet. It was just another version of the PSP...not lite or anything..just had a couple button modifications.

Wow am I off tonight. Yeah it's a Slim. Now it's official though. I know they were running through the idea at E3. I apologize. :)

Nah, don't worry about it. I was quick to put it up, and didn't realize the multiple mistakes in the topic itself. :lol

I believe it's now confirmed to be the PSP Slim. I'll probably end up getting that then, since I really want a PSP. :)
 
I got mine for free, gift from the girl I was dating at the time. the slim psp looks amazing though, I very much want one

Yes it was official. We were told about it at E3, and told how much lighter and thinner it would be...this new PSP has been know about in the US since Sony's Press Conference at E3, even if it didn't have an official name.

On that matter, I'm kind of confused as to what article is saying will be the new things name...I don't get it. Is it Lite or Slim?
 
Homi, you're beating a dead horse. The PSP was slated for a release but ran into complications. That's why now it's official. And the Slim is the correct name.
