ok now someone told me that there was another expansion for starcarft
is this true if so what is it called

Technically, the only expansion to StarCraft are called StarCraft: Brood War (excellent expansion, though), and the only thing they are working on that's SC related is StarCraft: Ghost, a 3d person action adventure starring a Ghost unit. There are also a few StarCraft books out if you want to shorten the wait until StarCraft 2, which isn't even confirmed yet.

That said, there are tons of unofficial things out there worth checking out. Many people have made their own campaigns, some which are actually quite good. Some guy made a full StarCraft campaign complete with custom units and buildings. Never tried it, but it sounds great. Just do a quick search on the net, and you'll come up with tons of that stuff.
 
ok :) thanx i was just wonderin because a bunch of people i go to school with are like yah man there is another expansion and i told them no but they all are no way man we all highly dis-agree with so i came here because every question i've ask in my time being here ask been answered.

but yah any ways BOOKS i never new there was books out what are they called what are like book like fantasy and stuff or books like guide books or what.
 
Currently, there are three books set in the WarCraft universe. I haven't read them myself, but I have seen them in the bookstores. They are not in a series, so you can read them in whatever order you want. The first one is written by Richard Knaak, so it has serious potential. (if you don't know him, he has written a lot of DragonLance books, including the Minotaur Wars and Legend of Huma).
 
You should also notice there are books set in Diablo and StarCraft. After those Resident Evil books, I'm quite skeptical to them. But who knows, maybe they got it right this time? ::)
 
No your friends were correct. It was called Starcraft: Insurrection. It was not made by Blizzard, however, and I believe the company (Aztec New Media) was sued. Do your homework people!
 
actually... I still wish I could play Starcraft 2, but outside of the lan (IE on bnet) it sucks because of lag :(  It happened when I changed to XP pro.
