This is probably a dumb question, but in some games the writing is so small I can't even read it. Is there anyway to make the text bigger?

yeah im getting this on dead rising stopped playing it till i get my new TV i cant read anything

Well there's a few different games that do this. Dead Rising is the worst one cause you can't read crap and there's no voice overs.

And yes I'm using a SD TV. I think Call of Duty 2 was another one that is pretty bad also, I know it was an army FPS but I can't remember which one it was.

The thing is, companies are designing for the next gen. Why? More than likely because they are sick of seeing their games being called polished games from the last generation.

So what? Am I supposed to go without just because I can't and probably won't be able to afford a HD set for quite a few years?

Pretty much. I can't afford an HD set either, but a $200 (or less) computer monitor gives you HD resolutions, and you only need a $40 VGA adaptor to use it. I have no problems at all with Dead Rising on my (roughly) 13" monitor. Granted, for a screen size comparable to a full blown HDTV you will pay the same, or more, but I play closer to my monitor and I would pick it over any TV, HD or not, that I've ever used.

ok question i know about as much about monitors tvs and the like than they know about deep sea life

If i got a decent monitor for my computer would i be able to connect my 360 up to it as well??

also for my living room im looking for a 50" or so TV what would be the best for me i have about 10ft of space from where the tv would go to my couch and its on a big wall so there are no size restrictions just budget around 2500 for the TV

I'm no TV expert, I'd say maybe try a website for bestbuy or circuitcity and see if you can search for TV's with a price limit of $2500.

As for the monitor question, yes, as long as it supports VGA (which it should). The VGA adaptor kit comes with a VGA cable that has 2 audio jacks, a gender changer, and a little plug in that lets you plug both audio jacks into one socket. Kinda hard to describe, but like this

Audio Jacks go in here
V V
[] []
\ \/ /
\ /
[] <-goes in audio port

So, a monitor with built in speakers would be recommended, just for ease of use. Either that or have a separate speaker system.
